And this unbelievebly beautiful song makes me think about ragnar and the beautiful happy life he xould have lived with lagertha and his children if he had atayed on the farm and also all the good moments of ragnar in the series. Well you can't have a song about Norways rich history and have no relation to Sweden or Denmark, obviously it has something to do with it, but it's not the subject of the album. @omega12315 жыл бұрын
+logan boley Scandinavian culture is still largely based on the old ways, if one cares to look beyond the superficial and products of global culture (like the internet) so i don't know what ancestors you're talking about, but we're doing fine, as a historian would say "the vikings never disappeared, they just assimilated" besides nobody actually wants to go back to iron age Scandinavia, it was cold, dark, full of bloodfeuds and a general lack of habitable land.

I'm Romanian, my ancestors were Dacians, they had a prophet called Zamolxe and belived in immortality after death! (similar with viking belives), the dacians usually made a human sacrifice right before a war or an important decision to send the soul of an young warrior as an emissary to Zamolxe to bend the will of the God in their favour. As a side note, they were pagan but they always belived in just one God! and the victim will volunteer to die! he was not chosen.

Sung in Norwegian; Kvervandi is about the wheel of time, life and death, which is a constant circle. --- Sounds like Sansara. From different part of the World.
@askell50495 жыл бұрын
Yeah, the Indo-Europeans spread both their language and their faith far across Europe and Asia. You see traces of it all in India and Europe. There is an underlying truth there, and Samsara is just another name for it. Everything works in cycles, from the smallest cell, to the seasons, to the way planets rotate around the sun. Everything is cyclical.
