Looks very cool, especially the empire building! Just hope that those who play solo, albeit still doing PVP, will not feel left behind with endgame activities

I want to do the same without pvp. I loved how elite dangerous allowed you to choose when or if you wanted to pvp or not. By choosing not to it didnt hurt you and you were still able to progress the same as those that did pvp. It made the game enjoyable and relaxing.

@@MysticalDragon73 think that's definitely the key thing. Make it so that we can do PVP if we want but still progress solo as well. I remember in one of the closed betas they had two server options, PvP or PvE so hopefully they have that again

Same here. Was hoping it would be similar to GTAs style. You can load up a solo session, or play with players. It being 100% PVP made me decide against this.

Looks solid. Also, I like the clear communication of "we will continue to improve and add QoL features to the game and build the world." That's a clear message to all players "hey, this game isn't a one-and-done thing on release, it will grow".

Hopefully it'll be rich in content and atmosphere. I know these things can take time to perfect after release, but i don't want another hard flop. Insurmountable grinds do not make up for a rich world with great mechanics.

Since the end goal is to be a kingpin… wouldn’t it make sense that eventually we can build up a fleet of at least 2 ships that we can have escort with us or send out on missions for resources? Not everyone has friends… so, just a thought

Its the same support as always though and I'm tired of it. It's so predictable what you get each season with every game they do. It gets stale so fast. I use to love R6 seige but after 2 years of the same content release model it gets very boring. Limited time events do nothing for me, if you limit my time to do something I actively don't bother to partake in it. Nothing worse than being under time constraints in games.

Not hating on the game and might eventually pick it up on a good sale, but I honestly don't think it's going to sell that well. We'll just have to wait and see... (Although I'm pretty sure this is going to be a commercial failure, considering the development troubles of the game I also suspect Assassin's Creed Red and Star Wars Outlaws will both do quite well.)

Loving the trend by devs to let potential buyers know what the post-launch plans are looking like. Even if they have to push back or alter time lines, at least the thought is there. Ubi has a pretty good track record for some of its games for post-launch support, thinking about Siege and For Honor. Yes, the game doesn't have boarding or sword-fighting mechanics, however what is there is a very unique and engaging experience.

Nah just hyped in my own way haha. Sea of Thieves lacked the RPG elements I was hoping it would have and this game has it in spades. If you like customizing and build theorycrafting in multiplayer games, this game has just that. It's probably more akin to World of Warships (which I've never played but understand the gist) than Sea of Thieves but I like the setting and the activities you can do@@Diego35HD

@@Diego35HD Not everything has to be unique. Not every game can reinvent the wheel so to speak. And not every game needs to succeed over others or be "better". Always see the opportunity, this is a decent game the way it is. Sure it could be more, but it could also be less. Way less. Or nothing at all. So as long as it's good and fun how it is. Not a scam or anything like that. It's all good. And i can see great potential with this game, maybe they'll even add boarding comabt later on. Possibility is there.

Honestly, all the different times i've been playing it so far from tech test alpha to beta, i have not once missed the boarding sword fights one bit. In fact i even enjoyed it way more the way it is, it kinda fits the whole premise of the game and it's design/gameplay more without it. I think having that feature thrown into it too, wouldn't be working that great the way this game is designed/played. And everything else works really well and is fun, so i couldn't bother less about this.

@Sn1pEzLP yeah that's a good point, if you were to board another ship, I feel like that would leave you vulnerable in a multiplayer game with pvp. Or if it keeps you invulnerable during that sequence, players could abuse that feature. Now, down the road, there should be some implementation of sword fights and stuff, maybe when you raid the fortresses or whatever

I did the Ubisoft+ subscription so for just $15/month I get the game basically for free. It looks to be very fun. I've always been a fan of pirate games ever since Sid Meier's Pirates and of course AC: Black Flag.

I dream of owning a Man o War though you would need to keep hold and invest on a smaller ship to change at will for navigating the small cannels as I don't think a Man o War would be capable of navigating the smaller cannels on the map.

We need a transmog system for the ship. And the ship’s weapons, attachments don’t want everything crested in gold, I want to remain historically accurate and realistic as possible. Also ship boarding and sword/firearm combat is a must.

pvp is only optional if you spend your money on defensive gear and fast ships, there isn't a button to push

@Inyourfacejerks the events, are kinda like random pop-up quests for contraband, when one person picks up the contraband, other are prompted if they want to join the hunt, then you're given a list of players that are flagged for pvp within the event

Please release the frigate class as shown back in 2017. These little ships can’t beat strong targets. It takes me at least 3-5 tries just to figure out a way to win with the Brigantine, Sambuk, Snow, and Padewakang. I want bigger ships to sail

seems like this will be a game that only those who put tones of time and effort into it will be the ones who can gain enough powerfull guns / weapons /armour etc to be able to compete in the high tier events etc, there is no chance for antone who is not putting all there time and energy into it to be able to get a foot in the door.

You guys need to hear me out really quick “captain Nemo” from 20,000 leagues under the sea literally could be a whole season and you could get monster ideas from the book/ movies an obvious one being giant squid that almost killed captain Nemo

i played the beta 2 days and when you sail to the top of the end of the map you see in the distance more island etc.... i think ,they will make the make bigger and maybe the put caribbean in there
