Hey guys!
I have had a couple of questions over the last few weeks on SKUNK CARE, so my gorgeous little buddy and colleague, WHIFFY has come home from work with me for a few nights so that I can do a few video demonstrations on how to care for skunks, with videos of how to clip skunks nails (coming in another video - hence the long nails!), how to tame your skunk and how to feed your skunk.
I should specify that this video demonstrates what Whiffy eats in ONE single day. As he is quite a tubby skunk (skunks are prone to obesity) he doesn't get any added meat in his diet, but you can feel free to fed your growing skunks some chopped mouse or chick.
Commercially available skunk foods are available on the market, much like dog foods, but I still believe that natural foods are best in order to have a happy, healthy skunk with a great diet.
Also, this is a BASE diet. You should take into account that all skunks are different and may require more or less of certain foods at different stages of their life. Please consult with your nearest skunk breeder or exotic veterinarian if you think your skunk requires extra special dietary care.

+Emzotic I've never seen this explained so plainly but perfect. I have misophonia too (and so does my dad) so we always talk with each other about how angry we got when my mom was eating apples or something. Misophonia gives me anxiety and if I'm anxious to begin with about something, then I start shaking

Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs Totally is a real thing!!! Literally nothing bothers me and I smell and see things in my job that would make most people vomit, but honestly if I hear heavy breathing and chewing, I lose my mind!

Don't get close enough to a wild skunk to be sprayed. Domesticated skunks usually have their stink glands in the anus removed.

Lgtronn He never eats his broccoli first. He goes straight for the high fat foods, like the almonds and the dog biscuits, and then he goes onto the sweet foods, like the pepper and sugar snap, and then later at night he has the broccoli, bean sprouts and carrot. He's so picky!

Cheezy Chiz I know I'm late but try fresh pet stew or regular. It's like wet food but all NATURAL, no bad ingredients at all. My dog is picky as well but he eats it. How does he eat a tree? Also all the stuff you named is bad for dogs, except for cheese and meat. Also research on raw feeding I had my dog on that for a while.

Having some fat on your hips or thighs is compleeetely normal especially as a woman. Even in summer. That's all healthy and you should not be alarmed. That's your body being well fed. Not talking about obesity though.

Cool video, I've always thought a skunk would make a cool pet. I was walking to a friends house one night this summer and something dark walked in front of me, so I pulled out my flashlight and it was a skunk...but entirely black with just a white crescent moon on its head. It was so cool looking, I couldn't believe it. Blew my mind.

I could watch skunks eat all day. All the skunks in my yard are wild animals but they are so peaceful and trusting that they almost seem like pets. It's a rare and boring night when no skunks show up. When I run into one I just sit down and enjoy their company.

they remove their glands so when they feel threatened they can't spray. It's perfectly safe to own a skunk if you know how to handle them and Emma is a pro with animals. Especially things like skunks and other animals that are similar which she loves.

Emily Garcia they're in the mustelidae family, along with ferrets, wolverines, weasels, otters and Badgers. They all have long sharp teeth and claws. What I'm more surprised about is that they eat a lot of plants. I expected them to be carnivores, but, clearly, they must be omnivores.

My skunk Pigpen (sadly passed away) and I used to go on walks in the community I lived in at the time and people definitely stared, lol. I even had a few people stop and ask to take a picture with him. He was chocolate and white- gorgeous..I miss him but at least I have so many wonderful memories.

I love how you have all this different species of animals that other people would never look as a pet and I think it's wonderful it gives other species a chance of being loved like they deserve I'm an animal lover my self and absolutely loved all animals I think there all beautiful and misunderstood in so many ways if you care for them they will return there love as well
