The mixture of deep rich tones and soft playful trills made a pleasant combination like salted caramel; oozy, sweet, rich, and then that light zing of salt to lift the flavor up to a whole different level and provide variety to the traditional melodies.

I have no clue why, but some of the synths remind me very much of Bejeweled 2's soundtrack. That said, I love listening to this. Thanks for uploading this!

@@soupandthunder6018 Yep, absolutely! I love to sneak some themes or motifs from other games into my play-alongs, too. Fun parts e.g. with Kefka from FF6 showing up in The Witcher 3 / kzfaq.info/get/bejne/acWWa892yZ2bnYk.html or Hyrule Castle Theme played on Metroid Prime at kzfaq.info/get/bejne/orqkhLeEqZiln4E.html --- left there for anyone who gets the joke. ;)

Freedom Planet is a really good 2d Sonic inspired indie platformer with slightly more emphasis on combat than a typical sonic game. Reccomend giving it (or its sequel) a shot. I liked both games a lot.

Nice twist on the two put together! Brinstar and the Sky Battalion usually leave the player pepped up and raring to go, but this remix has a relaxing and mysterious tone to it. Took me a while to figure out where Brinstar was in this piece, but it's there, just a bit more subtle. Or, am I just not good at listening? XD In any case, love it! You guys are fantastic!

Is this for Brinstar from Metroid 1? Loving the backing Vox-Choir backings. I love the reverb space that you built for this one. Spacey. That square synth at the halfway is some Metroid Prime sexiness right there. And when the E-Guitar comes in...perfection. The keyboard stuff is also killer. 3:30 is probably the Freedom Planet material...less familiar there, but it's nice melodic stuff. The 4:30 area is epic. Kinda has a Ratchet & Clank meets Metroid Prime vibe to it. I might have to ask for an MP3 for this one too uwu!
