This! Dave is a fantastic manager and is a bona fide County legend now, without question, but Jim's hard work, dedication & loyalty should never be forgotten or skimmed over the way it has been by some at the club since he 'left'.

@@ajl896 Jim Gannon is history, just like Danny Bergara, Dave Jones, and further back Jimmy Meadows; the current County set-up and success is down to Mark Stott, Simon Wilson, Dave Challinor, the rest of the staff (like Liam Cash for the best playing surface outside the Premier League), the players, and the supporters.

@@elaineblackhurst1509 I was commenting in the context of the Sky piece without trying to detract in any way from DC. The piece talked about us coming up from NLN and Gannon did, IMHO opinion, deserve to be mentioned as a part of that story.

@@fintanb8413 Jim did a great job, but of all the promotions County have ever had, the extraordinary circumstances surrounding that penultimate day at Spennymoor with Chorley missing a penalty then the Glen Taylor last minute goal all conspired to make that promotion the luckiest one ever. It is rare for the stars to be so aligned as they were that day, and County were extremely fortunate as to how the fates conspired against Chorley who had beaten County a week or two before.
