I jump at and got trained at Z-Hills -I didn't realize it when I was in AFF, but this DZ and part of the world has tons of world class professional jumpers, it's easy to compare yourself and get overwhelmed with wanting progression that is too fast, rather than focus on slow safe progression and focus on essentials.

Congratulations, Catherine! Got my A license last month. I can't agree more with your second point. We all have our own individual lives and schedules, that it is really no use in comparing yourself to others. You have to go at your own pace.

I think it's always a benefit to have multiple things going on in one's life simultaneously. Because each of these things puts the other things in perspective and I personally find myself enjoying things more because I am more aware of them if I have the perspective. So all the best to you and your growing family! I'm sure you are a wonderful mom, and you will do a couple of wonderful memorable jumps this season! And thanks for sharing all your knowledge and experience with us!

I totally agree. Any time you do anything you must be responsible with it. Being irresponsible in anything will get you or others hurt or killed. As a woodworking I always build things as if I'm building it soly for myself or my elderly parents.

good to have you back. I just finished my AFF 2 days ago and cleared for solo jumps, as a student, obviously. Excited! Checking the winds at altitudes is my biggest struggle I have to master to make better decisions.

I did my first tandem this weekend. Loved it, going to be doing static cord progression for my A license next class available. Wish I would have done this years ago. I want to thank you for all the knowledge you have shared.

Yay!!!! You're back! Congrats on your pregnancy. I'm new at this sport. Currently keeping myself on the ground due to a high grade sprained ankle from my cat A jump (7 weeks ago). I'm not gonna skydive until I'm 100% healed. I watch your videos for motivation and the great information you give out. I can't wait for more of your content. Blue skies!

I loved seeing you enjoying SDAZ! That is my home drop zone. You brought up some great points in your video. I am still a baby in my progression working toward my B license. Due to scheduling conflicts, like work and other adulting things (LOL) I won't be able to qualify for my credential for a while yet but I will continue working at my own pace. I love the sport and enjoy every coaching opportunity! Congrats on baby number two.

It's so refreshing to hear you talking about comparing one self to others. It is easily done. Your videos have helped me so much. Just started my aff course in Nottinghamshire i am on my 4th one. I was wondering if you have any advice on bad and good body positions and any exercises that may help me as I am way to stiff. When I am aching I still look flat. And congratulations. Thanks

Congrats Cath🥳 i did 6 jumps 3 weeks ago, unfortunately on my aff lvl5 i had bad body position and during parachute opening i think i elbowed myself in my right side which cased broken rib🤦‍♂️so i didint know then that it is broken and i jumped day after( on bank holiday monday) and after one jump i couldnt jump anymore but not due broken rib( i went to hospital 5 days after jumping and they checked on me and said that rib is broken so whole 6 days i didint know i have broken rib as i never broke any bones before)but due to pain between legs due to leg straps( aparently common problem among students). I went to wind tunnel last weekend and i was fine - i mean on belly not on back flying😀 and i dont have pain while coughing or sneezing so i hope 2-3 weeks more and im back in a game🦇🦇on aff lvl 6 i tried tracking and that was best feeling ever, i felt like superman in movies😃 i met loads of great people on the drop zone, i chatted a bit with wingsuit pilots as well and was able to be on the same load with them😇🤙fly safe everyone🤙

Welcome back, love your videos. Don't think I agree with the fact that if the packer messes up the packing that it's my fault. I'm not signed off to pack so it would be dangerous for me to comment on what they are doing. Plus they wouldn't appreciate me standing over their shoulder watching them 😀. But I know what you are trying to say, always ask yourself the question, "what could I have done to help prevent this" but sometimes the answer would be "nothing"

Every thing at their right time. Once you'll pack yourself you'll understand. You'll want to keep an eye on your packer hahaha or you always should be open minded about that.

i wanted to ask if this was probable. So when you get a twist in your parachute lines, Could you vary a couple foot long metal or so poles and then when you stop spinning pull them out put it in the top part of the twist and twist the other way? i feel like that would be easier

Congratulations! I have a question for you. How do you experience the social aspect of being a skydiver and a mom ? We got our first baby 2,5 years ago and now we have resumed skydiving, my partner is being asked regularly how come she still jumps when she has a kid, (especially non-skydivers ask make that remark) whereas nobody ever asks me this. We also seem to observe in dropzones that most female jumpers are not moms, and it really looks like a lot of female skydivers stop after having kids. Perhaps it's just our experience, but we find it quite sad! Would be interesting to hear thoughts about this.

4 years with 200 jumps. It's a marathon not a sprint! Want to keep jumping into my 70's. Can't do that if you bang yourself up early. Have fun with baby #2!!!
