logic is easier and a lot better for mixing, FL is messy and more confusing.If you have a Mac id go logic.

Yo sky how come you don’t use the UAD console app? You can load up the neve pre amp there and use the unison feature for your Apollo and it would work almost if not just as good as the actual hardware and put less strain on Logic Pro for smoother tracking? I’m asking genuinely cause I also believe that if it ain’t broken don’t try to fix but I’m curious if that’s just by your strategy or is it better just straight up using the plug in logic itself

It does the same thing it’s no difference between the console and the aux track and I can use any plugin on the print track vs only having to use uad plugins. There’s not a difference in sound quality or anything. Teezio also prints Chris browns vocals the same way in pro tools with Autotune The selling point of the uad console is the dsp that’s all . And my computer doesn’t strain to record or have any cpu issues + I have 3 different interfaces and could even print on my iPad version of Logic or even usb mic without the Apollo being connected

@@WavyMayne for sure it is I don’t disagree but I mean you already spending a rack on the Apollo I have the twin X and tlm 103 which is also a rack getting the actual neve is almost two racks it’s a lot for ppl that are just starting I have some years of experience but tech is getting better and soon enough you won’t have the need for the real thing and this video and sky replying helps me get better understanding

my bad for bothering u bro but when I record, using logic, its just showing up as a line if not very small waves, how do I get around that? I can hear myself just fine so its confusing. also confused as how to make and print aux track.

If you recording through the console and printing from the console you don’t need the print track in logic

I dont get it how he connects the PRINT AUX to Audio 3, so he Prints with effects. How i should Connect if i want to Print with neve + autotune but also have Compressor and other Fx on Monitoring only? Put all other Fx i want monitoring on Sends?

Literally stuck on that too lol, i currently track with whatever effects i want on my tracking aux but it introduces some latency and i cant use low latency mode if i wanna hear my effects. They dont print but still, my tracking track has a record enable button and input monitoring button 😂 while his print aux has neither

@@Itsyunlo i was able to find out how he made it work. Actually very easy after understanding. If you already have latency issues while rec on one channel. This method maybe will even have more latency. If you want to use the low latency Mode, put the sends(reverb, Delay) direct as an insert Like autotune. Then low latency will Mode will work. For his rec method: Create a new Aux in the Mixer. Insert the Mic there and by Output use a Bus.(will create another aux Channel). Use on a audio Channel(where u want to Record, the Bus Channel as an insert. And press Record on this audio Channel. This way you Print.

Man i gotta get me another MacBook Pro, all i have is my iPad M2 for now. I normally juss record in BL then mix the vocals in logic cuz the app been bugging for me.. ill record vocals and the monitoring sounds good no latency but when you go back n listen the vocal take is usually before where i even started rapping at…its weird.

Sky, fam this is what I am talking about, mixed in key is correct, that track is in B Minor (Bm), Auto Key 2 is Wrong B major is not the same as Bm (B minor) Antares auto key 2 has to have a bug because this is what I am getting 99% of the time... Auto Key seems to get the Key correct but not the scale, which is a big deal... This is mind boggling and beyond me how they did not catch this... I have a track in F Minor, Auto Key throws back F Major... the tempo portion is 100% correct though...

@@SKYJORDXN Bro most definitely 💯 the iPhone app was my go to before I got mixed in key live. But I was hoping to use auto key 2 but it is unusable at this point. It definitely have a bug because I am quite sure the algorithm should not be different from the mobile app.
