Considering remakes are popular and we (me included) want a skylanders game. They may remake the first game. Maybe keeping it like the original, but adding cut content. (And maybe the ability to use our newer skylanders on the og game remake)

I think it would be a bad move for toys for bob to make a new skylanders game without the toys because the game is mostly known for the toys to life gimmick so I think a lot of fans would be upset if they got rid of the toys to life option.

i dont think toys for bob understands how much money they would make if they made a new skylanders game. almost all old players for nostalgia and a ton of new kids experiencing it for the first time.

If skylanders come back it will be a massive shoutout to skylander KZfaqr and retro stores since people would want to search for figures and other games as well as an advantage to any old KZfaqrs

If they went indie a Skylanders game would be the best way to solidify their standing imo. The idea of a digital toybox does sound pretty cool since it's pretty much the same thing, but perhaps they can find a way to upload the Skylanders you already have so you don't gotta pay for em + the different skins they already have. Idk how easy it'd be since they needed a big ahh portal, but maybe technology has come that far by now

I hope they will do any skylander game. Most probalby they gonna go digital for new Skylanders, maybe with option to buy phisical figure, but for more celector function. Also they could still use portals for people that already own some figures. That could be on of the best moves they can do.

I could see a remake happening, I'd love to see an all digital version with unlockable characters scattered through the game, and compatibility with an optional physical portal that let's you unlock characters at any point with your old toys.

I think it would be to have the SSA original remade to be an ancient/elder/classic gimmicklander that uses their figurines that you can either order in a special starter kit or just have laying around. All other skylanders are still usable as figurines but also just available as online purchases

It would be great to see these games come back in a refreshed format. These games were such part of my childhood. I’ve even been looking for the Japanese wiiu SSA (no luck on that though but I did find a 3ds copy)

1st and 2nd game remaster is all they need

Honestly I miss Skylanders Lost Islands. It was like Clash of Clans & Smurfs Village but still had enough to differentiate itself from the 2. It had all the characters from the first 4 games, Skylanders & side characters included, & you could use a Bluetooth portal or a character code to bring your toys into the game. It was a great deal of fun & an absolute shame it was only around for 5 years. I hope they bring it back someday or make a game similar to it.

Skylanders was so long ago and I miss it so much, but I actually believe that were getting a new one. I remenber going to store and buying skylanders and I want to do it again. If they don't sell figuers and portals etc, I won't be as happy but hope they are compatible with the figures and portals. Now this is just me and my thoughts, so don't think it's 100% were getting it.

I'd be down with a remake where the figures are just in the game. Like you could play the game almost like Lego games where you start with a set of characters and find the rest either through stages or in a in-game store. Heck I'd be down if they did the first 3 or 4 games. (Side Note: Superchargers and Imaginators weren't bad but they felt different and lacking compared to the other 4. I still could see the characters from those games be extra in-game purchase characters. The characters from those games where still cool. Ambush and Tri-Tip and Spitfire where my favorite from those games.)

If the now indie Toys For Bob company announces a new Skylanders game, I do hope they find a way to make all the years of collecting worth the wait. They’d have to pull out a lot of stops in order to do so though. I also hope they give us an explanation as to why Kaos did what he did in Skylanders Imaginators despite everything that happen in Superchargers. I’d share my ideas, but I’m not sure if sharing them would be the wisest choice. All you need to know for now is that my idea involves time travel. Also, after defeating Kaos, the special characters stripped Kaos of all of its powers and Skylands of all of the memories they made throughout Superchargers in an attempt to keep something similar from happening again. It’s an annoying trope, but it’s the only way I can connect Superchargers and Imaginator in a way that makes sense. Plus, it’s for the greater good.

I hope that they keep using the toys, although they probably will have a digital way of buying them now that NFC cards have become so popular. Either way, I’m excited for the possibility! Regardless of if it’s a remaster or a Skylanders 7, I will not complain and I will 100% get it day one!

I lost all my old skylanders, so i would have to buy them all over again. I had Hot head and Tree Rex in that collection waaaaaaay back from skylanders Giants. Good old times.
