Great video, thank you for the details and going into the possible negativities but I do have some concerns and I can't seem to find a video answering it. So - I hope I can still get an answer. I've been using Soft Mousepads for a long time now such as Logitech G640 or Artisan Hien / Ninja FX. I'm a super low sens user (Between 80-120cm / 360) mainly use micro-flicks and crosshair placement to make my way around in Siege for example. I was just wondering if the transition is worth it from Soft to Glass, or if it might make more sense to try Glass Skates instead on current soft pads. I've heard mixed results but looking at the video I see you have an Artisan so I'm assuming you have some personal experience and can give me a better idea.

I've made the switch from my Hien Soft to the Skypad 3.0 and I mainly play Tac Shooters and Kovaaks at 60cm - 80cm / 360 I definitely have a lower first shot accuracy for aggressive flicks on the Skypad, but micro-flicks, recoil control and especially micro-adjustments felt so much smoother, more precise, and even faster, but you'll have to put some practise in to get used to it properly and quickly. I like the Skypad way more for my aiming style. Another reason I like it more than cloth pads is because the surface doesn't absorb your sweat, where cloth mousepads usually develop spots where they have more friction. That increased friction gets way more noticeable with glass skates by the way, I don't recommend them over the Skypad. In conclusion, if you have a "flashy", flick-heavy aim style, the Skypad might not be for you, but if you have a "smoother" aiming style, more focused on precise micro-adjustments, I'd highly recommend giving this a try. I hope this was useful, if you have any more questions feel free to ask.

So here’s the thing. If your low sens the lack of stopping power WILL fuck up your flicks. But if your main weakness is micro adjusting, then maybe give it a try

@@SA1N_YT @Xanny Appreciate the both of you replying. I'll probably get one either way because I got a friend that will grab it off me in case I really dislike it. The sweaty arm thing to softer mousepad is a problem I can relate to really well so that alone is worth a shot. (Plus how will I ever know without trying) I feel like my general flicks, big or micro are really great, my accuracy to stop where I want to is great but recently I've been feeling like there has been a bit too much restriction which is slowing me down in some way and I like my aim to be fast because my playstyle is aggressive. Turning up sens hasn't helped me because I like having that "bigger canvas" that low sens gives me, more room for subtle movements. Thanks again to the both of you!

Did you notice any peeling or chipping of paint on the back or edges of the pad? how do the corners feel? Rounded or sharp to the touch?

No chipping at all, I know the cerapad kin has had some chipping concerns. Corners are rounded and very smooth.

@@techvice7428 that's good to hear. so no bumps or any paint imperfections on the back side of the pad? I heard some people having cracks in the paint or peeling near the edges.

@@flux6435 I’ve not had any imperfections or bumps on the coating, the back side has feet so it doesn’t come in direct contact with the desk. I’m personally not too aggressive with my pads though, I know some people tend to pick up their mouse a lot instead of swiping while aiming so I can’t speak for everyone’s experience but in my experience the paints held up great and the glass itself is still flawless

One thing about hard mouse pads like this and some hybrids - they murder mouse feet and anyone using it for a few hours a day will be replacing mouse feet VERY often. They get ground and polished. Imo better to go for a soft pad and ice / glide skates for best of both worlds and longevity / cost.

Totally agree man, I burnt though both pares of my corepads with the skypad. The tracking is really great on it but yeah probably better to go with soft pad and some glass skates or faster ptfe skates!

I find this comment to be really hyperbolic. Do you actually own and used one for a very long time ? I've been rocking the skypad for 2 years daily, with only minimal wear to my skates. They are not even 1/5th worn. Greets from Belgium

@@DomiDomi00LOVE00TeK I don't own a skypad but will most likely buy it in the future. But my theory on why some people destroy their skates is because they have a low sensitivity on their skypad which makes them move their mouse on the whole pad( a lot) and that makes a lot of friction. I think your sensitivity is high enough to move your mouse less which means your skates will have less friction.

@@kirinom-3129 i play at 41cm/360 so really low. I find this being exaggerated by many
