Motor timing does increase speed. For the Castle motor it is changed through the ESC. I feel like if you would bump it up to about 22 degrees, it would put out numbers very close to if not higher than the Ruddog. The Castle motor was by far the best balanced which will aid in durability.

Also, the phase sensors were all absolutely even, meaning the sensor locations on the board are very precise.

Sup bro have typhon v5 v6 thinking bout replacing with mamba 1717 1650 ..what do you think for both high speed n dirt track…which pinion ⚙️ for both
@SebastianLong2 жыл бұрын
That's a hell of a motor for the Typhon. With that motor you would be able to run pretty much any gearing you want with the light Typhon. At least the gearing you could fit with the motor mount. That being said, the 1717 could handle a lot more gearing in a Typhon. Your best bet is to experiment with what gearing works for your track. The highest gearing you can run doesn't mean it will make it good on your track. Run laps with each pinion and figure out your best average time for each pinion size. Either way, start with 2 teeth higher than your stock gear. Jump up two teeth for every 500 kv difference is ideal. So for example your stock pinion is a 16t and you are running the stock 2050 kv and you installed the Castle motor, you'd want to run a 20t pinion on the Castle motor to get approximately the same speed. 2050 - 1650 = 400.
