Honestly it was quite difficult to set up, I mean having a prerecorded copy of the tape with the events that unfolded already on it was really hard to make. I mean can you imagine how hard it was for me to film it all at the same time. I mean, I had to be in 5 places at the same time. And then I still had to make a time loop that didn't break, so those 5 copies of me are stuck in that time loop repeating this event for all eternity.

@John Macmillan My thought was that Sheo's plan was to in fact sow chaos on a MASSIVE scale. He's backing the LOSING side in a war of conquest. He's prolonging the existence of the Blades to cause future conflicts. The specifics of why may be hard to puzzle out, but what is relatively easy to speculate on.

That's basically me in D&D. I always play a chaotic evil character (and I'm not shy about telling the other PCs that), so I'll occasionally do purely kind things for NPCs just to make the party anxious and worried about what I might be up to.

I don't think the old Sheogorath has any interest of overwriting the personality of his former champion tho. I think they share.

That's not how it works. The player character is us(literally us) and we are shezzarine, an aspect of lorkhan reincarnated over and over. Every main character in elder scrolls is shezzarine(except in morrowind) and this explains our ability to level up. And get stupid strong. Once we essentially stopped playing oblivion it was then that sheo took over completely and we reincarnated again as dragon born later. Weird lore shit where they try to tie in aspects like quick saving reloading and playing later games into actually being a lore backed reason. If you're curious like I was check out the wikis and reddit forums that touch more into it

@MrEddyman15 there's actually quite a bit to back this up on the wikis, or random videos you really only have to search. I mean you could just Google "shezzarine elder scrolls". Another interesting thing is in skyrim if you've wondered why Shor wasn't in sovengard, it's because we are Shor. Shor is another aspect of Lorkhan. We were also Talos, which is why that ghost thinks we are Hjalti early beard in that one quest.

​@@VapidFart I do not know where you got this from, but it's definitely false, the main characters in TES 1: Arena, TES 2: Daggerfall, TES 3: Morrowind and TES 4: Oblivion might all have been alive at the very same time after all. TES 1 Arena is starts in 3E389 while Oblivion starts in 3E433 (44 years separate them). While the Hero of Kvatch might have become the knight of the nine, like Pelinal Whitestrake became Knight of the eight, and Pelinal was a Shezarrine, that isn't a very good link and only shows somebody has favour of the divines. However in the events of Knights of the Nine, The Hero of Kvatch met the spirit of Pelinal, which is likely an indicator that the Hero of Kvatch is not a Shezarrine, since how can you meet your own spirit? But generally there are a few requirements in figuring out if somebody was or was not a Shezarrine, and the Hero of Kvatch hits exactly 0 of them. The Shezarrine has some link to Lorkhan, usually something like missing a heart or doing something that causes them to lose their heart. As far as anybody can tell, the Hero of Kvatch never went through anything that caused them to lose their heart, was noted to lack one or had any other similar type of connection to Lorkhan. The second is there is usually a prophecy, often from the prior Shezarrine that predicts something about the next, the Hero of Kvatch didn't even have any prophecies, except for Uriel Septim VII's dream, which really isn't the same thing; There were prophecies for the fall of the Septim line and white-(gold) tower (the fall being it functioning as a tower with the dragonfires, not a literal fall), none of them reference the Hero of Kvatch. Usually the Shezarrine can recall events from the mythic era, which again, no evidence for in the case of the Hero of Kvatch. Generally also the Shezarrine appears in response to an Elven uprising, the return of Umaril was not really an Elven Uprising and the Thalmor barely existed at this point, Summerset Isle was still ruled by the Empire during the times of the Hero of Kvatch/Oblivion Crisis. The LDB might be a Shezarrine tho, since there is a very great prophecy about the return of Alduin and a Dragonborn which may link into the Shezarrine, The Last Dragonborn has the soul of a dragon and dragon souls aren't like normal mortal souls; so possible the last dragon born actually does remember things from the Mythic Era, the Last Dragonborn got to witness the rituals used to create Briarhearts, members of the Forsworn that had replaced their hearts with flowers to gain power and come back from the dead; not impossible the Dragonborn learnt something from this or could even replicate this after the events of Skyrim, more so the Hagravens normally responsible for this, some might be on talking terms with the Dragonborn considering a certain drunken night... last Elven Uprising... the Great War is definitely that. The long and short of it is that the Hero of Kvatch quiet literally might have just been some normal person whom fate knew would defeat the oblivion crisis, but there was no great prophecy for nor any link to any god (until Knight of the Nine and Mantling Sheogorath). Also going back to what I said about how all characters from TES 1 - TES 4 might all have been alive at the same time, there are some very strong theories that High Chancellor Ocato was the canonical main character from TES 1: Arena; somebody whom the Hero of Kvatch actually meets during the events of the Oblivion Crisis.

Then you'll love Oblivions dlc, I haven't played through all of Oblivion yet but I've seen gameplay before I thouhh I would get it and it seems like so much fun.

If you try to talk to him instead of doing the mission, one of the things he'll say is: "Do you mind? I'm busy doing the "Fishy Stick". It's a very delicate state of mind!!". It makes absolutely no sense, and that's the point.

Yep; though he's "crazy" it masks his utter brilliance. Unlike other Daedric Princes, Sheogorath can walk Nirn like a regular person which is scary if you think about it
