Hopefully the issue with floating trees gets resolved by authors, since it seems a quick fix. Use HLT Black Pixel Fix mod with any mod using Happy Little Trees to resolve the flickering on objects and water. I only crashed once using Fantasy Forest in Dawnstar. Nature of the Wild Lands is astonishing. The density is what I like most about trees, so thick forests are ranked highest, but at almost 400mb it's an acquired taste 😊. I experienced no performance issues, but again, I'm only running Dawn Weathers and a few aesthetic mods for buildings and NPCs. Oh, and #9 is Fabled Forests of Mythic Proportions. Sorry for that oversight. The list is in description with links.

They will never fix them they can't be stuffed iv already contacted these / whits it's the dump and walk away attitude with porters forests of the north is a bloody disgrace floating trees

I can't recommend with so many issues needing fixed, but quite a few I've been testing have so much potential if followed up and fixed a bit. 😢

I love those comparison type videos. It's always fun to see what's out there visual overhaul wise and compare it to my own expansive mod list. :) There is just one thing I would like to add. Please consider uploading videos in higher resolutions, mate. Watching videos, especially visual-specific ones, on KZfaq in compressed 1080p on a 4K 32-inch monitor looks as if someone smeared Vaseline all over my screen, lol. Please upload in 1440p so it does not look quite as bad; 4K would be best ofc, but I do understand that not everyone has access to decently fast internet. Commenting on the behalf of all the higher end rig users. 1080p thanks to KZfaqs video compression looks awfully blurry.

😆 Okay thanks for the advice. I considered 4k but many people also watch on phones where it may just require 1080p as standard. I periodically do 4k, but for shorter vids. I'll consider this for future comparisons though. 😊

My favorite I've used when I have the space is Veydogolt Trees and extra trees, but I'm going to check out Nature of the Wild Lands next LO!

Veydogolt for a while became a favorite of mine because they're unique, plus I didn't notice clipping with my favorite architecture mods. Wild Lands is amazing, but there's a plus and negative with them all. I wanted to research a good forest mod for my next Viking LO, and I still can't decide. So I'm gonna retexture vanilla trees, add more trees, up the resolution, get some awesome dense grass, and call it a day. 😆

I was surprised how well trees of iduna ran on my OG, If i had more space or a better machine, traverse the ulvenwald and NoTWL look great. nice comparison

Forest of the north looks fantastic in the dry pine area's but has floating trees everywhere in the reach, the others shown including wild lands are all rubbish rift tree lods wild lands looks like a 5 year old has painted the lod, I'm using blubbo again overall it's good BTW have you noticed after the updates tree mesh lod issues? This could be a ussep issue?

I'm running 8 mods, including USSEP. I've never been impressed with the LODs. Some are okay, but it could have something to do with the patch, the game overall has run better since the update on Series X.

All of these are great! My favorite is definitely trees of iduna though simply because it easily has the best lods and performance. How’s blubbo’s performance? Also where is the Viking LO?? 😜

Iduna is very nice, though I love density. I couldn't settle on a tree mod for my Viking LO, though Traverse stands out, there's just things I like and don't like about many forest mods that make it hard to decide. So far I've settled on mostly vanilla trees, retextured, and decided to invest in grass and landscape overhauls. If Traverse just had MORE trees! 😢

@@2C4Dgames yeah same here there’s a lot of tree overhauls I live like iduna and diversity but there’s some I just don’t really like. I wish forests of the north wasn’t broken honestly. Are you talking about ulvenwald lite or the big traverse the ulvenwald 3.0 not having enough trees?

The only Tree Mod I really like was Happy Little Trees, but the pixel issues force me to uninstall a mod that had it. Did not get a chance to try HLT Black Pixel Fix because I started new game & the issue I had was in the Forgotten Vale. But they were Blue Pixels. Currently using Tree of Feallan 1K but don't like how the trees shake very unnaturally when you get close to one. Also don't like some of the barks. Might remove it & try something else like Trees of Iduna Main or go back to Vanilla trees. Right now I'm just killing time with Skyrim since I have 3 games I've never played, Elden Ring, Dead Space Remake & Cyberpunk Ultimate.

There are a few negatives and positives about every tree mod. So for my next mod-list I've actually decided to use Trees and Shrubs by TheSithLord which is basically Happy Little Trees in like, 8k 😁. Combined with an amazing grass mod like Realistic Grasses, or one with a good lod and matching landscape, looks very natural and almost real. Pretty much vanilla trees make denser and high resolution.

It supposed to fix those pixelations, in general from object reflection. HLT Black Pixel Fix is name of mod. Just run under any mod that happens to contain hlt@@billgarci

Are there any mods that add bear claw markings to trees since the lady in iverstead is always complaining about bears

Good question! I haven't personally found such a mod, but I could swear I've actually seen light claw markings on the trees/trunks around Ivarstead. 😆 I think there are just trees like this for immersion added by mods, but you gotta look carefully. 👀

Shame on you looking back on your videos I see you did not do diversity of trees its now the best tree mod for my older xbox 1 s can't believe I never try it its so good n performance friendly but I guess you never used it like I did

😆 I do believe I covered it in my first Top10 Trees vid, but it's no longer available on KZfaq. The vid didn't come out great, but it was definitely a solid mod for performance. 😁 These are primarily Fantasy-style trees.
