Horrible use of stats. One of the most useful goalkeeping statistics is post shot xG prevented. Looking at the team, outcome-based stats like clean sheets is very shallow. Ederson - distribution yes but Allison shot stopping is well clear.

Walker has to be in there just to shore up the defence because Trent despite his attacking prowess leaves a big gap down that side. Plus with KDB around I don't think we would be short of vision and great long balls. Luis Diaz and Mahrez in the same team with Salah in the middle would be insane. Good argument for playing Salah out of position is that basically every defender in the world has figured out how to defend his left foot and by putting him down the middle it gives him a different chance to find space, dragging defenders out to the right but still having space to cut onto the left and shoot from a more central position.

I'm a Liverpool fan but Foden been getting very high marks from just about everyone so he would get in there. They interchange in City so much but Foden wouldn't get the pip in a forward line. But if Sterling is going to make it, I'd rather pick Foden. And then comes that knowledge than Liverpool fans have on how important Firmino is. Against City, Hendo is so crucial. I will be surprised if Thiago starts and not Hendo. Sterling is good, yes, but I'd choose Mane, Jota and Thiago everyday all day over Sterling, esp since there r no arguments that Salah should be in that combined 11.
