Against Liverpool: A 1-1 draw with Rashford scoring. Against Spurs: A 2-1 win but only one goal from open play because surprise, surprise, another penalty. Against City: 2-0 win but only one goal from a Utd forward as McTominay scored one very late on as City massively pushed forward. Against Chelsea: a 4-0 win but I would argue that score line really flattered Utd and Chelsea collapsed towards the end making it very easy but even so another penalty and James scoring so only 2 goals really from Utd's forwards in Rashford & Martial. So that's 4 goals from open games in the home games from Utd 's trio cited above. 6 goals from open play in 10 games? Not terrible by any means but considering what Neville and Carragher were pointing out, not good enough. 6 goals from open play in a third of the season if you throw in games like Wolves/Leicester too home and away. 6-7 goals from open play in 14 games against the biggest and hardest games of the season? Proves my point about Utd's forward using the bottom half to look decent but someone like Kane, if he stays fit, or Aubameyang can score more goals from open play all on their own against the top 8/half. You are hyping up a frontline that isn't scoring as much TOGETHER as the likes of Kane, Aguero, Salah, Aubameyang can do all on their own at other clubs. I stand by my original point. I would put much more faith in Liverpool's or City's front line than Utd's over the course of a season.

Rashford isn't clinical. 17 pl goals and never more than 10 in previous seasons. Talented player yes. But so far he hasn't really proven to be a true goalscorer and this isn't something that can be put down to inexperience anymore. That might change still. But if he ever loses that place, he won't have much left
