England 2010 squad had Milner/Carrick/Barry/Gerrard/Lampard/Joe Cole in midfield, so it's doubtful whether he would have made it. Capello didn't like Carrick, Joe Cole wasn't really a great performer at the time. So yeah, maybe. As for Euros 2012. I'd say he'd made the squad over a 21y.o. Henderson or a 19y.o. Oxlade-Chamberlain.

I like his mindset and it is probably why the players are so receptive to his ideas. He is also modest and well-read. We will see the longevity of his management style and how others (especially players) would respond to it when they are under pressure.

Seems a logical fit but with the clout he has at Arsenal, Barcelona would be a downgrade because of the level of politics involved at the club, it's not a great environment for managers especially one who is gaining so much influence at his current club.

Barcelona is getting Xavi next year so that's not happening. Though may be if Xavi fails, they might try to poach Arteta, especially if he gets more accomplishments with Arsenal.

Someone who's been in the football industry his whole life has a more valid opinion than a united fan with a clear agenda against city.
