It's sad how they had to remove it. I was a skyclash main ever since it was released. The sheer customizability was amazing, because you could constantly try new and interesting things, making the game infinitely replayable because there were thousands of unique combinations and strategies to make them work. Also, card and class progression to add even more replayability. 2 games were never the same because of the varied and chaotic chest/enderchest loot, anything could go wrong or go in your favor. Such an interesting gamemode, if only it could be revived.

I actually loved Sky Clash when it came out. Skywars was never my thing, so I loved Sky Clash

I remember I stopped playing Hypixel for about 2 years when Sky Clash was popular. When I came back, I wanted to play a game of Sky Clash only to find out that it had been removed. I really hope they think about bringing this game back especially with the massive increase of players on the server in recent months.

I remember playing this, and it was a lot of fun. It was more casual than skywars, and had a nice playerbase. I can recall getting the cards and getting really excited when I got a rare one, and was amazed by the artwork of the cards. I completely forgot about it when bedwars came, and was only reminded of the game when I saw this video.

I have a suggestion on how to make dead minigames revive, with little cost. Host an event, like a competition or regular tournament of the minigames. Winners get irl cash(or rank) and a title. This should attract numerous players

I remember loving my card kit. I spawned with a strength potion that has also speed and jump boost. Also spawned with creeper and witch eggs, and some piece of iron armor. Best game ever. Loved it, playing with friends was so fun.

omg SkyClash. I remember this old game, I had so much fun on it. I miss the old days of Hypixel where games started coming out a lot more and experiments were left and right. I wish every game still had its original popularity and that no game was removed. I miss this. I first logged onto Hypixel in late 2013 or very early 2014 with an account of mine that got hijacked, later on I started being an active player in early-mid 2014 on Hypixel and oh my the memories, I may not have the most hours or highest stats out of any old Hypixel player but I have so many memories of all these games and a majority of which I played the day when they came out. I don't really like modern-day Hypixel games, not even my favorite Bedwars since it's very different from its day one. But I still hold it close to my heart. I miss SkyClash even though I haven't played it in a long time. I also had no clue it was the only game removed AND DIDN'T EVEN KNOW it got removed. Also, isn't Adventure Lobby another removed Hypixel game?

I'm sad at the fate this game had, I was a top 100 players a few years back and can easily say it was some of my most fun on Hypixel I've ever had. Great to see people are still remembering it though.

I use to love skyclash, I played it all the time when it came out, and once I came back to Hypixel after like a four year break I was confused about where it went and wondered if it was in another server that I had forgotten. Kinda bummed out its gone for good though, even if it was unpopular among the masses.

Former Skyclash main and forever a lover of the game here. To this day, I feel that Skyclash is a history of Hypixel's biggest mistakes. It's what ultimately turned me off to the server and the staff team, when I'd previously supported most of their decisions. Even at its release, there were clear mistakes made, such as releasing in a closed beta instead of opening to the whole playerbase as with the PTL. This suppressed hype rather than growing it, and contributed to the difficult transition for many Skywars players. Back then, it seemed like Skyclash would be fine. The gameplay was so fast-paced and unpredictable and ever-shifting, and it was sustaining thousands of concurrent players. But once it released and a month had gone by, the playercount dropped precipitously. Hypixel slowly phased out its advertisement, and the game was forced to contend for itself. Bearing so many similarities to Skywars while its predecessor was still at the height of its popularity, Skyclash leaked players as the months went on. A massive post was made on the forums predicting the fall of Skyclash, by a user named G_U_A_R_D. He gave the perspective of a new player who was overwhelmed by the complex classes and perks, difficult progression system, oversaturated chest loot, and fundamental similarity to Skywars. I was among the many players who disagreed and pushed back, thinking Skyclash couldn't possibly die, even if it was losing players and falling from its former popularity. In a few months, the warning signs appeared. Skyclash had dropped to a few hundred concurrent players, hovering below Arcade Games and UHC. Mega Skyclash barely filled, Solo and Doubles took many minutes to fill, and Team Wars was full of high level parties instead of new players. Still I and many players thought that all we needed was a strong update championed by players who cared, and we would be safe for a long time. But even as update proposals and discussion flourished, actual staff involvement and development was nowhere to be found. Despite the clear need for bugfixes, balancing, and progression changes, staff refused to take action, citing previous updates that had failed to revive the player count of dying games. Eventually, an update was released after a full year, but it had lost any semblance of community input (one staff member infamously buffed his favored classes and cited game statistics as an excuse). Additionally, with the rise of Bedwars and the PTL, Skyclash had lost its place in the server. It was at this time that I started to lose interest in Skyclash. With the concurrent player count barely reaching beyond 100, games took ages to fill, and when they did, there were few recognizable faces. It was a ghost game populated by diehard Skyclash mains and some stubborn new players. The game was ridiculously unbalanced and unplayable for new players, and the growing cheater problem that had infected the rest of the server took hold in Skyclash as well. Fast forwarding past the desperate attempts of a few dedicated souls to save the game (not staff, but regular players), the game was set to be removed. It didn't even get its own post initially; it took hundreds of dislikes to force staff to explain themselves, and when they did, they refused to take responsibility for their actions and refused to hear out the community or consider another course. And that's how Skyclash died. Abandoned by Hypixel staff to die an ignoble death, removed for inherent flaws that were never addressed, and forgotten as a Skywars clone. But it will always be remembered by the players as a wonderful game which had so much unrealized potential.

I got into skyclash a few months before it died. I was actually enjoying maxing out cleric and swordsman and it was awesome. I also remember a0e playing it and making content on it.

They should add an alternative version of Skyclash, one with the weird loot tables but without classes, to the Skywars laboratory menu. NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE, is going to miss Slime and Rush. NOT A SINGLE SOUL

OMG, I remember this game from the first times I played hypixel. I started playing minecraft in 2014, not long after, I played hypixel, then I stopped playing minecraft in 2017, then I restarted playing minecraft in 2019 (now I still play). I remember playing skyclash in 2016 because of the card system, and I loved it! I totally forgot about it when I restarted though... Was a good game.

Sky clash was the main game i played id wait for 10 mins maybe even 30 mins for a round to fill up but i still loved it. I miss that game lot.

Bro I remember my friends and I grinded that game so often and I even got master swordsman, although the treasure hunter kit was the most op kit. After returning to hypixel after quite sometime and finding it removed was pretty sad.

I loved skyclash. My favorite game by far ever to be played on Hypixel. I maxed my kit within a few weeks and had a TON of fun playing. It really sucked as the game started to die. Finally I had to give up on trying to play a game. It really was a sad death

Christmas Day 2016. Me, and many others, were playing Skyclash. It was a great time. I'm ashamed Hypixel put Turbo Kart Racers in the classic games lobby (isn't that old) but didn't do the same for Skyclash.
