SL&BR Garden Railway - first steam-up on completed track

3 жыл бұрынLive steam miniature locomotives running on the SL&B Railway for the very first time since track work completion. Seen here are Accucraft Exe and Roundhouse Jennie, both pulling trains of Lynton & Barnstaple rolling stock.
Includes a footplate ride on Jennie and a wagon ride behind Exe.

That railway is a superb is use of the space in a small backyard setting. The garden is wonderful too.

It's a lovely, neat and very solid looking railway. I've got the same long black girder bridge :-) The brick viaduct is very fine (looks something Brunel models might do?). All that slate walling must have cost you a packet, big chunks! I love the river, but interesting to learn you've redone it in concrete.

What a great railway. The water feature by itself is a masterpiece but it fits the railway perfectly. There is something about the L&B - nobody alive today could remember it but it has a huge following. Your passenger train particularly looks just right.

Thanks, I really wanted to try and capture the Valley of the Rocks and I just had to have Chelfham Viaduct (albeit not all the arches). The river and sump have all been replaced since this video, the butyl liner on the river leaked really bad and the sump had water seeping in from the soil behind the liner so it’s all been replaced by a concrete sump and river, no more leaks! 😀 Lots of ballasting, detailing and servos to fit

😋 they will all have servos in and be wired to a control panel, but this was literally filmed the day after track was completed!

Robin Dolan I’ve just borrowed it from a friend but very impressed with it, very stable and easy to fly - would certainly look into one!

@@DanzibarDrums I fly a phantom 4 pro, all DJI drones are easy to fly :)
