Nice tute, nice planter. That design could make a neat canteen, or vase. Egg shaped or square/diamond shaped cutters might be interesting too. Possibilities are endless.

I would add 3 holes in base for drainage if you are using real plants otherwise they will drown when watered. Great tutorial thankyou from Queensland Australia

Such a great job of teaching an such a cool project. I found the entire project inspirational and easy to follow. I managed to find the cutters, similar place mat but could you share the glaze color/brand. I have made so many mistakes with glazes help would be appreciated

for succulents you don't need drainage as the amount of watering is so little

Why would it not work by making a broader inset like maybe 4" instead of 2"? I'm just wondering. I really like it. It could be a neat basket by cutting off bottom instead of putting the base on it. Thank you so much.

Slip making questions: would you get a "good" blender for your studio or a cheap one? I'm thinking maybe a cheaper one since I'll bet the clay is pretty hard on it and it'll probably be replaced frequently.

I buy blenders from thrift stores. In all reality, that don’t build them the way the used to. I keep the clay body as is. Just add water
