Sold my kimber 9 raptor it was super unreliable with the 7 round tacmag and kimber mags shooting jhp. was 100% reliable shooting fmj but I wasnt carrying fmj. Kimber offered to fix it but I didn’t want to deal with sending it out. I just ordered the legion 938 I imagine it’s gonna be more reliable. super excited

Picked one up in 2020, last one at my lgs. I know there are 10+ micro sub compacts on the market now but man this gun looks so sexy and feels and shoots great

Really like my P938 Legion as well and agree with you that it handles 9mm recoil very well for the size, fits the hand well even if you have larger hands, plus the 3 7 round mags makes a nice package. Have to like the stippling on the grip along with the G-10 grips and as you pointed out the magazine and mag well design helps. This firearm and my Ruger LCR are my smaller lighter carry choices especially during 100 degree plus days. I use a Crossbreed Mini-Tuck IWB mostly though I have a We The people OWB Kydex with Constitution wording on it I use at times too. Very nice comprehensive review....Thanks, sir.

Thanks for the review. I've been eyeballing ap938 legion. I've got a custom p238 but I'm left handed and really like the ambi safety on the 9mm. 3 mags as well and g10 handles can't beat it. Just got to pony up all that cash and get one

Very nice! I have the 938-9-AG AMBI, it's frame color matches my Sig 1911F NMR "Nightmare Fastback in .45 A.C.P. One of the nice features of the P 938 is you can rack the slide safely when cocked n locked. Sig also sells a 7 round magazine which adds about 1/2 inch of grip.

That's an excellent review 👍 I've been seeing this on channels and it's a cool little pistol. I was unaware that it was chambered in 9mm as well . Thanks for this outstanding review, and I won't to pursue more interest in this pistol. It just kinda has that magnetism.

I’ve carried the Sig 938 Rosewood for years edc in the Desantis mini scabbard holster. I “Really” like this Legion with trigger, magwell, plus forward serrations for those who use them.#Nice#Sig#938#9mm

I am a sig fan, in fact that is all I own. I prefer hammer fired over striker fired. My EDC is my sig 938 and my 229. I do have the sig 226 Legion and am going to buy this 938 legion next. My favorite sig is my 1911. Good review. Thank you. New subscriber from PA

I love sig, and have several and my favorite gun is my full stainless 229, but I gotta edc with glock because no one else makes a gun comparable to the g30. No one makes a subcompact .45 thats 10+1 for the same size, although I been looking at the p320c in .45 but I'm concerned about drop safety

Thanks for the review! I want a P938 but am debating between the Legion and the Combat with rubber grips. Do you find the legion grips to be large enough vs the regular 938 flat panel grips?

Slightly off topic but how do you like Clayton's in Horsham? I used to work in the area but never visited. Getting back into shooting and looking for a good range to get a membership for.

You have a 9mm EMP Springer bought used that went back to SA due to unreliability, they worked it over in their custom shop under warranty! Did all the reliability stuff now it feeds everything and super accurate. You also have a nice 45 SA 1911 Govt size, a 380 Taurus TCP for pocket carry, a 38 Smith wheeler, a Hi Power, and several sweeet 22 pistolas and long arms, You have decided to go all 9 in the hand platforms, are fully tricking out the Hi Power, are about to sell the 45 and 38 and 380. You have decided to replace the pocket sentinel with a niner with 1911 controls. You are considering this P938, the Kimber Micro9, and the 9mm Springer 911. I heard what you said about the Kimber, have you shot the 911? If so, thoughts on it? Any others you should consider before you pull the trigger on all this? Thanks for the vid.

Also, you saw the vid by the guy who had an unreliable P938, went it to them, they sent it back without working on it saying it was in good order, end of story. Contrast that with what happened with your EMP and the diff is full solar exposure vs dark side of the moon. You also saw the vid where the guy swapped the slide from his 911 onto his P238 and it hand-cycled! So the 911 is looking pretty good right about now!

if you want capacity, go 365. if you want that 1911ish trigger on a gun that feels a lot like a swiss watch, go 938 legion.

Agreed, the 938 is a piece of fine tuned craftmanship and I’ve used as edc with Desantis mini scabbard holster for years. I REALLY like this Legion model but hard to find in my area. If you go the poly route better stick with the guys who have perfected that “Hands Down” the Glock!#Sig#938#Rosewood

Great video. I would like to say one thing and it applies to almost every gun video out there. I don't care if the gun is loaded or not. I'm over here in T.V. land and could care less about my safety, I think I'm safe. Who are all of these nanny state hand wringing snowflakes that are getting their panties in a bundle over a loaded gun on a video. I'm glad you are being safe but that's on the video maker. I think what bugs me is that it's a constant reminder that we now expect and cater to these cry babies. Some gun video makers get it and just state upfront to their audience to just stay calm and don't worry about it. But like I said in the beginning this is A very good video, thanks

@John Sheets If you can hold a P365 then you should be good but it's a tad thinner. My suggestion is to get one in your hands before you buy.

Thx for the Video When the hamer is cocked & inside ur holster, isn't that dangerous? Also how about dirts fall in between or what if it get stock between clothes? 10/18/21

@D J No not dangerous as long as your safety is on. 1911 styled pistols are the same way, a proven design. With any firearm that is holstered you have to check for any debris after each day of carrying, if necessary clean it.

Sig's only mistake with the P938 Legion was the magazine proprietary. Won't accept standard P938 7rd magazine. But I think P938 is just simply better than the Kimber micro.

I've got a p938 Sport 13; great sights, wrap-around rubber grip. Great shooter. I just bought a few Legion mags for it. Now that I see the legion, I'm no longer sure they'll fit. I hope they do. I thought the only difference was the added magwell....uh-oh

Hope you didn’t pay full price , yes you mentioned Kimber micro 9 not great quality compared to sig 938 , but the Springfield 911 9mm for around $400 shoots identical to p938 . It is unfortunate that most people can’t do what I can do behind the bench , I can take a plain Jane Sig p series and actually create a better legion . Yes I’ve paid legion prices and have a few but never agin , sources for sig parts have grown and quality improvements as well . Sig Super strut ,Armory Craft , sights , springs , it’s not rocket science . K

@keith kent I paid a few hundred less that MSRP (price equaled to Gunbrokers) However you're right about comparable firearms at a far lesser price. I wish I did have the skills you have for gunsmithing.

Keanon Gilliam I learned one gun at a time ! Plus my stepson has far vastly improved his skill set at gunsmithing I’m truly blessed . Having the right tools and parts makes it easy. Keep in mind a lot of help on You tube lol! It puts money back in the pocket to improve what I have and purchase new guns along the way . I’ve always said I would not own a gun I couldn’t work on . Believe it or not I started with Glock platform because of it simplicity and moved on from there Sigs 1911s etc etc . If I can do it anyone can , I encourage you and others everyday to sit down and try . K

I paid alot ($700+)for for Sig 938 Rosewood back when I bought it yrs back and has never failed me. Like a fine swiss watch in every aspect. Nice review.. There's a video out there on the safety. If you just barely move that safety down just a tad, pull the trigger twice, then release the safety & see if your hammer falls? Mine does but I'm not sending it back. It doesn't fall all the way but it'll scare ya. I traded for a brand new 938 Extreme. I love the little booger & I ordered the 3-3.5lb trigger spring kit. As of now, I can't hit jack crap with it at 7y. I'm hitting way low & left. I can shoot at a can & if I aim directly off & to the right, completely off my target. I hit dead center.. I'm not sure if it's the heavy ass Trigger Pull is making me pull but I'm used to punching the bullseye at 15y much less 7y. My pull is around 7lbs at the moment but again, it hasn't had 50 rounds thru it

@Mike Hog A Nator Never had an issue with the safety, will check. I'm not a gunsmith but the issue you're talking about with accuracy might be due to the change in the trigger modification. Usually shooting low left means you're turning your wrist and anticipating the shot when shooting. Also might have too much trigger finger. Whatever the issue is I hope you work it out. I had the same problem shooting low left. I saw other reviews that the trigger weight and in some cases trigger grip method caused the low left problem. Let 2 friends try it and they both also shot low left. I tried a Sightmark laser bore sight for comparison and it confirmed that the iron sites are off the exact amount. I added an ArmaLaser TR8 and used the Sightmark laser bore sight to zero it in. Using the Armalaser to aim and fire I'm dead on but with the iron sights I'm consistently low left. It's not my trigger grip, it's not the trigger weight. It's the sights. Can they be adjusted? I've heard others say that it's near impossible to adjust without ruining the finish. I'm no gun smith and reluctant to try to do it myself based on what I've heard. What bothers me most is the factory iron sights are amazing and make sight acquisition so easy but are completely useless. It's hard not to use the iron sights for aiming and strictly focus on the green laser instead.

So, the pistols you do like just happen to be both made by Sig Sauer. Of course you don’t mention why you don’t like the Glock 43. I can’t help but notice that the Sig Sauer P238 (another micro-compact) is being discontinued. You also failed to mention how the rod (spring-rod assembly) in the P938 is a two-piece rod and has been a reliability concern for those who actually choose to carry the P938. Does Sig Sauer plan on discontinuing the P938? Maybe Sig is just looking to maximize profit on the P938 pistols that they still have in stock. I guess enough said, and this is why it is so difficult to take any of these KZfaq reviews seriously. Rs

@@Falla76It's OK that he likes the Sig better, doesn't affect you. He said he liked the Sig because "it shot better for him", would you have preferred he said, "the Glock shot like crap" instead? It's just a fact that Glock doesn't make a external hammer fired, all metal pistol, get over it. Go ahead and Google "Sig P938 guide rod issues" I did, the most recent one I could find was 3 (three) years ago. Have a good rest of the week.

The P938 has a love or hate following. Reliability being the issue. It's my only micro size pistol I own, decent for what it is.

I have 11 other guns and once had them on my channel but removed them not wanting people to see . I did a trigger job on my Colt and polished my Alaskan 454 so I do like learning.
