I can definitely get behind the mood here, not overly exaggerated but also not boring and monotone. Your mentality of, always improve and "yeah this turned out shit, but that happens" feels more genuine. Something that can help with getting washes to flow into the recesses is either flow improver or dampening the surface first to help the wash flow easier. Doing my part on you way to a hundred.
