How can you NOT like Slash, he is just such an easygoing cool bloke that seems to have a pretty remarkable life. Mates with Michael Jackson, living down the rd from Joni Mitchell & Bowie. Having really creative & tolerant parents, the list goes on...

People with your philosophy are generally a big part of the problem. If you were real , you wouldn't need to mention it. You just seek for attention. Real people don't make a fuss about it. It is not like doing us a favour by being a good one. It all depends on circumstances . Weak, poor, and losers are usually good people because that is the only way to mingle . Then , give them some power and see how they become god.

He talking about MJ you can tell he had so much appreciation, respect and admiration for him. What Slash said about his fame and how lonely is this place, I believe 100% to be true. Michael couldn't trust anyone, because as Slash said ,,everyone wanted something from him'', so he couldn't know if it's real or just pretending so people can be around the superstar without caring about him as person (which is what Michael wished for but unfortunately never found). Slash is honest man.

Most folk dont know Slash is mixed(his mom is black). What I didnt know was that David Bowie dated his mom...so David Bowie was already dating black women before he married his black wife who just so happened to play the role of the queen in the MJ Remember the Time video of the same Dangerous album that Slash played on. They were just leaving for dinner, so after introductions, MJ gave him the track, described the emotion he was looking for and gave him a free hand to play what he wanted. That's the story of give in to me. The video was shot in 2 hours.

A while back, I saw this biography on Michael Jackson. And one year, for a Birthday present, some of his family friends rented out a whole grocery store, and they all acted like regular shoppers, and let Michael Jackson come in the store and shop for groceries like a normal person. Michael Jackson thought it was the best thing ever. That is when I realized that there is a big price to being that famous, and remember, he was that famous from a little kid. He didn't know anything different. His sense of reality and sense of self had to be messed up. I mean, when just shopping in a store like a normal person is the best gift someone could give you, that is sad.

If you watch the movie "The Man Who Fell to Earth" you'll see Slash's mother's name 'Ola Hudson' listed in the credits at the end. This is how I believe the relationship started. David was the first man Slash's mother dated after his parents split up, so he had some resentment towards him at first. They're friends as adults. Slash knew David's son Zowie, too. Zowie was about three and Slash was about nine. I think David would bring him over to the house in his Mercedes :)
