It shows that he is down to earth and knows its all about the music and he wants the other players to have fun too, he feeds off that. And from what I hear, he is absolutely awesome in person

The mixing was a mess, but wow grandpa is killing it there. Orianthi is so cool. Slash's playing still managed to be breathtaking regardless of being in such low volume compared to everyone else

Sometimes the sound engineer will f up, sometimes the technicians will screw it, and sometimes the guys will mess up the beat; but you can always rely on Slash to play good...

I remember "The Skunk" from way back when... kickass guitarist 🎸 Wonder if he misses Mr. Wolfe's explosions on stage? My son , one year old,...asleep on stage in his stroller. What a freaking treat! I hope the sound was better for the audience than it was captured in this video. Just compare the volume of the Strat to the other guitars, especially when he's done with his solo, it feels like suddenly, there's a "hole" in the sound.

Fun fact, as someone who has played tons of shows, this is a much more realistic view of what most concerts sound like. Obviously there are too many instruments playing and this is a little bit more extreme, but I noticed quickly the difference in quality when listening to amateur recordings of artists concerts when compared to the professional recordings heard on DVDs and some live CDs. Artists tend to release their best shows and the public doesn’t always get to see what the average show looks like. We are all humans, and it’s really hard to get the sound right at every venue. Size/equipment failures/mood of the band, etc. all come into play. Good on Slash for owning the moment and not running from a poor recording. I actually like Slashes tone, but I wish it was louder. It’s punchy and not overly trebly/bassey.
