5 жыл бұрынLet's test out a slash resistant hoodie from Slashpro Slash Resistant Clothing . Their clothing range is primarily aimed at security professionals and not the average person on the street.
Do not replicate this. This was done under controlled conditions.
The material is known as Cut-Tex PRO which is described as one of the world's strongest cut, tear, abrasion and bite resistant fabrics.
They actually have various clothing options such as t-shirts, pants and heavier duty items that can offer stab and bullet protection.
This hoody is designed for slash protection and does not offer protection against stabbing or bullets.

Socks, tighty whities, loose but fitting cargo jeans, tank top turtleneck then hoodie. All made from slash pro with their cut stab slash resistant fabrics.

It only protects against slashes but not stabbing

You need several layers of pure Dyneema or kevlar against stab to keep it thin/light. Slashes are deadly only in neck area and it's unprotected. Some are mixed with cotton so that's shit

Exactly no idiot would come and slash your back or your chest he would either slash your neck or stab your back/front 😂

@@biglabel868 Yes and no, a lot of people flail knives around (on drugs or adrenaline). Especially if you have good movement. But again, most knife fights are very close range and probably have more stabbing anyway.

You could raise the hood to get better protection for your neck. But yes, there's limits to the protection it can offer.

In reality this jacket gives you a MASSIVE defensive advantage, as it takes away one of the main functions of your opponents weapons. So what if they stab? Train. Maybe wear a chainmail vest under the hoodie. But mainly train, and do it for real (no sharp points/ edges or crazy concussive force). The idea is that you train to the point where reacting properly to attacks and attacking is second nature, so that you can do it without thinking while adrenaline is coursing through your veins and a person of varying size is trying to murder you with a sharp pointy thing. You can have all the armor, all the self defense gadgets, but if the (realistic) training isn't there, then you're fucked. And unless there is some magical forcefield around the UK, then yes, this hoodie will protect you from cuts and will serve an individual who trains with the intent of protecting their life very well.
