This Cut... NOTHING short of... AMAZING! The tone they get on their guitars... The DRIVE of the drumbeat... How TIGHT these Cats were... The Ventures were.... and STILL are a Serious Influence for me. Thanks for posting!

one of the great instrumentals of all times! ventures rock
I could watch this 1,000 times. The songwriting, the in-the-pocket sync, driving rhythms, Nokie's lead part, the tones...about the coolest thing I've ever seen on KZfaq. Gracias Raul!!!!

Wonderful -- what marvelously talented and hard working musicians The Ventures were. One of my all time favorite bands, and "Slaughter on 10th Avenue" really showcases their talents. Thanks a heap for sharing and posting this music video -- great stuff!

Love seeing those three Fender Bassman piggy-back amps on stage. All guitars jacked straight into the amps, no effects, just straight ahead real guitars.

This is so great! I LOVE VENTURES! I Love instrumental music! Its simple and direct, and it makes you happy :)
The epitome of "tight." Not one of their bigger hits... ...but the whole notion of a bitchin', rockin', instrumental performance of the music of Richard Rodgers' ballet really tickles my fancy... ...among other things. (Addendum, two years later:) I just listened to the last chorus and what I'd always assumed were "triplets" are in fact... ...are you ready?... QUINTUPLETS. If Frank Zappa heard this, I bet he was impressed.

Of course it's because it's footage of a performance in Shinjuku, Tokyo in 1965.
