It can be viewed as insulting and insensible to say that the two languages are the same. They are not. Similar, yes; same, no. Aloona was referring to and joking about her speaking "Russian for some reason" due to past Russian (Well, technically U.S.S.R.'s) occupation of the Ukraine. Source: I am Russian--born, lived, and grew up there.

I'm Somali and I love and find appealing a list of languages,like Arabic,English,Italian,Swahili,Amharic and so on.But, I think Arabic tops the list. I find Arabic most beautiful and poetic. The thing is, because of what is going on in the world today, especially in the Middle East, how the Western Media presents this to the world affects everything about Arabic and the people using it.

I am so glad you say "Da" at the end of most of your sentences. Whenever I am portraying any of my Russian accented characters (D&D, NPCs) I find myself saying "Da" at the end of almost every sentence. and it just makes me feel better to know that it can be typical.
