Muscle building is so important for hyper extended joints. The tendons and ligaments are not doing their job. Muscle must do it.

I love that when the girls are at full extension and they don’t feel pain, instead of pushing them to stretch until it hurts, he compliments their abilities. I’m not a ballerina nor have I ever danced but I’ve seen those horrifying videos from Russia and china of girls being hyperextended to the point of sobbing and I’m so glad to see someone promoting health over extremes

@@wendymonkelien-brown579i have hEDS and i just had to check off enough boxes on a list my doc had, im not sure about other subtypes though. if you are ever fortunate enough to get her tested physical therapy was a life saver for me. there are also plenty of online resources that can help you treat symptoms yourself without an official diagnosis. my aunt (who also has it) is active in facebook groups, and finds them incredibly helpful.

The first girl is hyperextended. I have issues with hyperextension like this and it can be a symptom of things like eherl danlos syndrome. If she doesn’t learn how to not over stretch she’s going to have chronic pain by the time she’s in her 20s. I say this as someone that did gymnastics on and off for 15 years and gotten injuries from hyper extension in my arms, wrist, back, and legs.

Playing an instrument is great too. Just playing helps growth and growing Ballet is sick and super competitive and teaches some absolutely insane ideas .

I've heard horror stories about people's experience doing ballet as little kids... And for that reason I used to be glad that I never did it. But seeing this makes me so happy. I know this is only a snippet and we never know what really goes on, but it seems like such a healthy, positive AND FUN environment (the last one I think is the most important given their young age) 🖤

когда только включила видео, зашла в комментарии и чуть чуть проспойлерила себе момент про подарок от папы, очень многие писали что прослезились и тому подобное. сразу приготовилась, так сказать, но думала что плакать уж не буду. но когда все таки дошла, посмотрела этот фрагмент, то слез сдержать не смогла. будучи очень эмпатичным человеком, сразу увидела как насте важна эта ситуация, какие эмоции она испытывала и испытывает. я просто разрыдалась. но самое тяжелое , самое больное для меня оказалось осознание, что много лет похожая ситуация, и то сколько эмоций подавляла насчет отца. как бы я хотела услышать от папы что он меня любит, что чтобы я не сделала получится хорошо, и ему понравится. папа патологический врун, никогда не слышала от него искренней речи, я совершенно ничего не знаю о его жизни. так как они с мамой в разводе, думала что это не так важно. но толкьо сейчас осознала, как же мне не хватает его, его внимания и искреней отцовской любви. спасибо, Настя, за все что ты делаешь. ты такой искренний и чудесный человек. желаю тебе всего самого лучшего, счастья, и удачи❤
