I’m a 48yo Iranian who raised with metal songs, and Slayer was and still is indeed one of the best ones. Can’t wait to see those shitheads leave the country and also see Slayer is back to stages, and this time to my country too. At least I can dream of it.

LOL As an Iranian. We do love Slayer from Iran besides Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slipknot,... Even in Muslim country. Hope one day after victory in our ongoing revolution we see these bands perform live in our country.

The biggest regret for me as an iranian metalhead is we didn't have the gigs from the bands we love in our country, and sadly some of these iconic bands no longer exist

This goes to show the world that metal is a global thing. There are metalheads from Iran to Chile, from Mexico to Japan. Metal rules! Plus I love Iranian history and studying the Persian language. Very unique stuff!

Regardless of what anyone thinks of SLAYER or the beautiful country and people of Iran, it took a lot of love and dedication to the SLAYER fans of Iran for them to travel there. To play there. The entire logistics of putting a gig like that together. Thats a monumental task alone. Kuddos to SLAYER. But also, it clearly shows that the majority of folks in Iran, just like us, just wanna rock out. Thrash. Enjoy some good, heavy music, and enjoy each other's company while enjoyoying that musical experience. Oh yeah, like Tom said, "are you free?" "Would you die for yours or someone else's freedom?" We lived in Abu Dhabi in the 80's and had all the Slayer tapes, my friends who traveled to the States would buy them, I actually got my Reign in blood and SOH albums from Damascus Syria around 89

This was the second most surprising Slayer moment for me. The number one, of course, is when they played at the Mormon Tabernacle in Salt Lake City! They put red die in the baptismal just for the show and some people thought it was real blood lol.

Seen them twice “ welcome to TEXAS “ the third time was the night toms mom died so they never took the stage, the band hate breed did put on a good show. Rip to your mom Tom.

Slayer has been popular among teenagers for at least 30 years in Iran. It’s not Islamic country. People are being forced, fed their religion that they don’t like.

Christ Illusion has to be the most anti-Islam album I've ever heard. So it's sort of like "the balls playing in Iran" but if someone is standing next to Slayer graffiti in Iran and they haven't been beheaded then I guess that constitutes a tacit invitation. I live in Turkey and when I was in high school I wrote a nice SLAYER on the wall of my class which was with a marker that you can erase. My luck the ink stuck and the next lesson was religion. Good old times. I m 45 now btv

The drone footage @1:54 looks a lot like video I've seen of the EU's perimeter being overwhelmed. I think this might've been purposely paired with the beginning of "Mandatory Suicide." Quite apropos if this happens to be the case.
