Slayer to me is the type of character that drops, and i just fall in love with the design all over again. Turn off all the ui in practice mode, and i can just enjoy messing around with him. Love the way his moves look and feel. Love his aesthetic. Makes me appreciate why I like games in general all over again as an art medium.

This is the first Strive character that i think is more fun than their previous iterations.

What drew me to slayer in the ggac+r, and in general was his air combos. In my Infinite greatness in the old days thinking the juggles and extension made him a great character

Speaking of people who dont play Strive anymore or don't really like Strive, I wanna say as someone who got into GG through Sign on the PS3 I can completely understand why a lot of older heads wouldn't really be into Strive but I'm not gonna lie, I fucking love Strive, and Strive Slayer is fun as fuckkkkk. I do miss his backlash cancels from Rev2 tho.

Dont sleep on the 2HS stomp. It's mad cheap on counterhit as it's a clean pilebunker hit confirm. 2S goes into 2HS as well so if you're going for this crossup pilebunker setup and they end up just getting hit by the 2S rather than blocking it, you can choose to just go into 2HS into Pilebunker instead of the crossup.

Funnest part is slayer can be super technical if you want. He has sweet spot pilebunkers off midair 2s that wont bounce em so you can do pilebunker loops

I played some slayer in xxacp. but fuck me, Im all about that HOS. give me that holy order already. he is the only character that will bring me back. Boot up for slayer and aba for sure. But idk. strive is ehhhhh for this old man(35yrs old)

I was hyped for slayer, the first few hours was fun but i felt like i will probably go back to aba, theni saw one clip of pilebunker loops and its over. I genuinely think this slayers combos are more fun than xrd, they cooked so damn hard this character is so fucked up lmao

I feel like if you end a match with the 100 meter super Slayer should have an alternate post-match animation: Walking towards your corpse, kneel over while looking down on you and offering his hand while saying: "GGs, shake my hand."

i don't like strive; i play testament and slayer, and since testament was a disappointment, slayer was my last hope with this game. since everyone's getting butchered in strive, i set my expectations low. maybe it's because of that, but i think slayer in strive is pretty okay. his gameplay's a lot more aggressive now and his backdashes, along with dandy steps don't or barely have s anymore, so there's a lot to unlearn and new things to adapt to, which is fine. overall, i'm okay with the way slayer is now, and i'd boot the game up every now and then, and i'd even like the game a lot more if they let us use every character in training mode, coz i ain't buying characters for a game i don't play.
