Slayers has become so underrated these days, this series needs a new season or at least a reboot following the Manga like Fullmetal Alchemist did with FMA Brotherhood. It'd be great for that to happen.

When i first heard and saw Lord Of Nightmares, i was like stunned and didn't even expect to see her. Even though in Luna's Body LoN Overpowered Frabrizo with no problem. On top of all that she gave word of wisdom "You who desperately seek destruction, as you wish ... you shall be destroyed" becoming the badass line of all time!

Fabrizo: "I want to be destroyed... I WANT TO BE DESTROYED!" LoN: "As you wish, you shall be destroyed" Fabrizo: "This isn't what I wanted!" LoN (in her/his mind): "...dafuq?"

I love the lord of nightmares. I think it's cool how she created good and evil, demons and gods, making her completely neutral. She's not good, nor evil, she just is

I don't know why, but I love the idea of a supervillain who came up with this ultimate infallible plan for destroying the universe COMPLETELY LOSING HIS SHIT as everything he worked for all falls apart at the hands of a girl possessed by God. I almost feel sorry for him. He's going insane because he was so close to getting what he wanted and suddenly it's yanked away from him. Poor guy, what a letdown!

She is there because it isn't a spell to draw power from her, it's more of a summons with the offering to inhabit the casters body

After such long time i realized, the sphere she is holding is Phibrizo's soul. He wasn't afraid, because his attack was absorbed, but because he ralized, what she is holding. That's why he says, he didn't want that. He wanted to be destroyed, but not his soul. After she destroyed his soul, she attacked his body, because part of the soul was in the body he created. After that, there will be no resurection for Phibrizo.

Love the way LoN is OP 😅 its a force of nature, a self-determined desire to be and exist. Not a bullshit powerful character but a GOD in its universe!

What I learned from this is... When you call upon power from the LON themselves, their power, being chaos itself, can't be controled unless they themselves possess you. When that little imp "killed" Lina, the LON was already insdie her allowing her to form the spell. Without Lina's mind acting like a filter, the LON was free to interact diretly.

I like the fact the Lord of Nightmare is not just a god of nothing ... but is the embodiment of it... Lina's will was transferred for the moment that the Lord of nightmares existed and was to not exist after she also ceased to be taking Line potentially along with her... no form no identity no existence until brought forth

She is by all accounts omniscient, its just that this is a avatar not the real LoN

L-sama is one of my favorite things to imagine throwing at stubborn problems in other shows/anime... Incubator causing problems? Throw L-sama at it. Superman gone crazy? L-sama will obliterate him with a thought. Seriously, her power is beyond all measure.

he is cool, calm, and acts perfectly sane. just a few seconds after LoN arrives, phibrizzo goes batshit insane.if loN does that to a monster, think of what LoN would do to a mortal. they would be immobilized by fear. they couldn't do anything at all.

@imcostalong The Lord of Nightmares is (GOD). Is four universes and all that is with-in them and about them. Lina was possessed by a small part of her will, she is chaos incarnate, creation and destruction, no physical being can with-stand such a being. Just like Washu, Tokimi, and Tsunami in their true forms in the Tenchi Muyo OVA. Nothing in DBZ compares to these, besides DB universe seems pretty light on physics, any world where the moon can blow up and not end life on Earth too toony.

Let's see, a fusion that can last for around 10-15 minutes and is a multi planet buster versus a multiversal abstract that created all of reality. Gee, I wonder who wins that one!

The lord of Nightmares is so damn powerful that even Hajime Kanzaka writer of the Slayers and artist Rui Araizumi have to get permission from her. There's literally an image of Kanzaka and Araizumi bowing to L-Sama.

This is one of the best episodes of the saga. Reena Inverse and Phibrizzo are perfect here. True darkness against darkness.

All daemons, all pain, despair and chaos are simply watered down reflections of the lord of nightmares own power. If Gogeta was in the slayer's universe his destructive abilities would simply be a lessor form of the LON's own hence LON would be more powerful.

For those using DBZ comparisons, having anything from DBZ fight the Lord of Nightmares is about on par with having Buffy fight Illyria at her full power (from the Buffy/Angelverse). It'd be amusing until Illyria/LoN decided she no longer wished to hold back.

@TheLucifer94 LON, hands down. When she kills you, you die completely, and no lame or mystical resurrection ritual is going to bring you back. In fact, LON can create entire universes with an afterthought... She can Zerg Rush Gogeta with fully powered up Omega Shenrons without even trying.

I think what people don't get is that Lina Inverse is really the incarnation of the Lord of Nightmare's A.K.A. God. That is why she was able to control the Giga Slave.

I think the Lord of Nightmares is a titan or something stronger since the Lord of Nightmares did create Ceiphied and the gods with Shabranigdo and the demons. I know the LoN also created the universe. . . But one tiny tiny useless problem still confuses me the Giga Slave didn't kill the 1/7th part of Shabranigdo and had to rely also on the power of the Glora Nova(Sword of Light) and Rezo to even defeat 1/7th Shabranigdo but still couldn't kill him. . . . ..

It's a sick line to end it with. It's a great ending this series was alot of fun.

Why WOULD the Lord of Nightmares want TOTAL DESTRUCTION? She CREATED things for a Reason. Not only that, but Absolute Destruction is NOT Chaos, but ORDER!! The Monsters were there to BALANCE the forces of both Good & Creation, NOT to overwhelm them.

Yeah, Unlike DBZ, being a God in the Slayers world actually has meaning. Shabranigdo at full power(before he was severed into seven fragments) is said to be able to destroy the universe; same with Ceiphied. L-sama literally created the Slayers multi-universe with a thought. All she would have to do is blink and Vegetto or Gogeta would be eradicated from existence.

I'm not even sure THAT is a fair comparison. What people making this comparison fail to understand, it seems, is the idea that the Lord of Nightmare's is a thing that can be "fought". It is, in it's truest form, an eternal sea of chaos and nothingness. All things that it touches are returned to it, reduced to nothing. It is in a word a theoretical "Zone of Absolute nothingness." things like "Logic" "Power" "Life" would be reduced to nothing within it. It would be like fighting a living idea.

I've always wondered if "my mind is my power; my power is my mind" and "only my mind exists in this place" was a slight mistranslation of "will". "Only my will exists in this place".

@Insane234 Glad to see another who isn't blinded by fanboyism. I'm a huge DB fan myself, but anyone who's researched Slayers (especially the novels) realizes that the cosmic forces of Slayers mythos are simply beyond the scope of DB/Z/GT characters.

His OFFICIAL power level is 120,000,000 at max power. (His bulky form when he fought SSJ Goku) I think the only mention of Frieza multiplier is when Supreme Kai mentions Majin Buu is stronger than 1000 Friezas. (Though 120 billion power level seems to be pretty insane, even for Majin Buu...though realistic after absorbing Gohan.)
