Thanks for the reminder. I bit the bullet and purchased a Peter Pugger 6 years ago to allow mixing and pugging of my own clay directly from dried recycled clay and raw dry materials. Daily I mix clay for the next day. Took the "Donkey work" out my studio and added "I make mix my own clay".

funny , I did donkey work today too..but I use tee shirts and pillow cases and set out to flip and flop till just right depending on the weather. I love your videos!

Very helpful video (i.e. it confirms the way I've been doing it!) I use a piece of wallboard with the paper removed instead of plaster. Works well. What DOESN'T do well is using apple vinegar--had to keep the windows open for two days, and even then... Quite a nasty lesson to learn. Thanks for the continued advice, Simon-sensei, and cheers from Japan.

I do like the smell of vinegar and that's good to know it helps it be more plastic. It's quite nice to do the process of recycling clay. I can't throw clay away either.

I need to do a bunch of the same sort of work, I don't have much clay ready and a whole bunch of dry scrap. Also, thanks for switching back to the wise screen, we watch you on the TV screen most of the time.

This format is not so easy for me to do as the vertical but will try to do more in the landscape view.

Oh mine too. Good tip about drying completely. I am so bad for not doing that and end up with lumpy clay. Thank you Simon.
