Hi, Where did you get your bow sun/weather enclosure? (not the Bimini top)
@shuswapoutdoors Жыл бұрын
It's all custom made. Any good canvas shop can make something similar

What about the canopy,you never show that installation and where do I get that canopy. My dealer says he can't get them.

Nice video. Looking at buying a 16 come spring and would be looking to add the level floor inserts. Can i ask what the dimensions are for each one? Thanks.

Hi there! I'm wondering if you are still totally happy with that single battery powering motor, fish finder, and electric downriggers? I'm outfitting a 16 Lund SSV myself this year, and appreciate all the great ideas your videos have given me! Tempted to have separate starting battery and deep cycle, but more weight...
@shuswapoutdoors Жыл бұрын
I'm still running the same battery since 2017. No issues at all with it running everything.

Even in the scenario if you are mostly just trolling with the kicker all day, but still using your Humminbird and electric downriggers all day, still no problems firing up the big motor? Obviously the battery is getting no charge and drawing down while this is going on. Thanks again!

No issues at all. The GPS sonar and downriggers don't draw much at all. I'll run 8 hours of pulling 15lbs balls 100' and there's still a ton of power to fire the 50 up.

I have your same boat. Great videos. From your experience, how much effect does your fish finder have on your starter battery? I am thinking about getting a small kicker motor like you have. I have manual downriggers, so there is no other draw on my starter/cranking battery besides my Helix 7 fish finder. If I got a small kicker and let my fish finder draw off of the starter battery all day (while my kicker is working), will my bigger motor (a 40 hp) still be able to start up? Thanks!

The sonar doesn't draw much power at all. If you are worried the new Honda 5hp has a charging system on it to keep the battery charged. But I run my sonar/GPS and the powered downriggers all day with no issues

I'm running a 50hp and no issues turning it over after 8 plus hours trolling
@michaeltorgerson66573 жыл бұрын
@@shuswapoutdoors So, is there enough room between your 50 hp and your kicker 5 hp to allow you to turn either motor and not have them rub? I keep watching your videos and pausing to see how much room you have. I believe this is the last concern I have. Thank you!

No issues with the motors hitting each other.

i have the 18 alaskan, im considering replacing the heavy wood floors with 3/4" open cell foam boards and wrapped in 2 layers of glass. im thinking if i coulds save 60 lbs, it might be worth it.

Picked up a 2010 SSV last year. Just curious did you have to add on cable for battery and if so what gauge wire did you use? Great use of space looking to do the same.

Did you just slide the gas tank in or did you have to take the whole top and support off?
