Of course I love Maria’s videos/ content but what I also enjoy is the positive and welcoming comment sections on all of her videos. I love the asmr community comment section, it’s great! But it’s kind of ruined me for other comment sections. I go in and don’t realize how toxic people can be and then I quickly realize that is NOT the place for me!

OMG EXACTLY!.. I have to watch her every night as Im falling to sleep. I can't watch movies (actors giving their political views on their twitter etc) or go on any Internet space without drama politics insults people being triggered or people being offended.. We come here to get away from the drama stress politics pandemic worries & woes. Here we can escape from all that for just a little while & sink into dreamland. Really is like being in another world where you just feel so cared for or even loved by your life long best friend depending on which video.

I don't know if any of you guys have seen her video 'A-day in my life" video on her KZfaq page? OMG.. I don't know how she does it and does it all with style and grace..showing real aspects of her life. Just like us theres good days Bad days you may have an argument with your spouse your toddler may throw a fit. She talks about it she mentions it she doesn't show her personal events like that. She's just like us just super gifted hard working & just such a beautiful soul that helps millions of people all over the world.. It's like having your own personal angel to Tuck you in at night.

I so agree! Most of social media content is so shallow and nothingness. I know going to bed at night with my constant stresses of life knowing Maria will take all the stress away. Without her healing voice and true escapism i would not get to sleep. She gets me through the nights.

Does anyone else really appreciate the way she always gets consent before coming into your personal space or touching you.. I mean I know she’s just talking to a camera, but that’s what makes it an especially endearing touch, like she is really talking to YOU .. and always making sure you are completely comfortable.. My mother would have LOVED you Maria! She suffered from migraines which I remember from my childhood, she would lay on the sofa and I would massage her head and gently brush her hair. I thought it was so boring! But I loved my mother of course, so I didn't mind. Sadly, she passed away 30 years ago, before youtube. I can't help but think how much my mother would have just loved to lay on the sofa and listen to your incredibly gentle, loving voice. I know she would have had relief from migraines and been so relaxed. Also, it would have gotten me out of brushing her hair which I enjoy having done to me but am bored out of my mind doing to anyone else hehe. Thank you so much for your videos!

Neurons that are repeatedly activated together eventually become connected, that is why you feel this association. Brain cells that are active when you relax got connected to brain cells that are active when you watch Gente Whispering ASMR. This is one example of a phenomenon called neuroplasticity. It is discussed in depth by author Norman Doidge in his book "The Brain that changes itself".

@@carolinacastagnino1573 I highly recommend the book I mentioned as it has more facts like this. For example, human brain operates on a principle "if you don't use it, you lose it". If some neural connections are not active for a long time, they deteriorate because the brain doesn't waste its resources to keep it alive and uses the same brain cells in that part of the cortex for other functions. This is how you kill bad habits (or lose good ones). At the end, we are what we practice.

maria i have been following you since day one. i stared collecting certain videos on YT before asmr was asmr...they were just videos that made me feel relaxed..made my forehead and head tingle...gave me goosebumps and helped me let go of the stress in my life. my (ex) husband would make fun of me really bad about it...put me down constantly even shame and embarrass me when we had dinner guests over. then a few years later i found your videos. the first was you showing your souvenirs from your last trip to Russia. and then followed a Valentines gift that you had made for your then husband. A Califonia greeting! ❄ It's so crazy, I just watched your Vlog about the behind-the-scenes pieces of this video and honestly just seeing you knowing that you have a wholesome realistic partnership and family unit that we have witnessed grow in just the short amount of time thru such a tough year is truly something to behold. 💕 I even cried Tears of Joy myself seeing the happiness that Mila expresses in her languages as well as her facial expressions. What a true beauty just like her mama! It makes me happy/sad to think of my son growing just as fast. Anyway I truly needed this calm in the not so calm 2021 so far here in the states LOL but as always thank you Maria, you are an angel so is Daryl and Mila! We all love you guys so much 😘

I think my brain has developed an immediate response to Maria. I hear her voice and something just changes in my brain and I feel instantly comforted, at ease and relaxed. It’s like magic. I don’t know how she does it but it is something I can’t explain!!
