This will be about my 10th “read” of the Hobbit. I discovered it myself in 1969 on the library shelf at school in 7th grade. Wrote to Tolkien when he was writing the Silmarillion and received a reply! Thank you for your mellifluous voice.

@@johnssleepstories this was my first introduction to Tolkien as a preteen I found in the school library. I recently bought a copy of the hobbit pluss the trilogy for my son and he's lapping it up. We've seen every movie on the big screen and own all the box sets on DVD. I was lucky enough to find a copy of "Tales before Tolkien" in a thrift store, for a few $ and knew I couldn't leave without it. It's full of short stories that he wrote before he was JRR Tolkien. Your a great narrator. Always picture you in a big leather armchair by the fire place with a dash hound at your feet. 🌛📖✨

Yei!!!!! Great news!!! Tolkien is back🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼... Although I've got to tell you, I've become a real fan of your channel 🤩🤩... After the Silmarillion (and in between) I started listening to all the Sagan saga, Howl's Moving Castle (this one hooked me fast😅) and the Narnia chronicles!!! I really enjoy all of them, the music is excellent (such great music by the way) and all of your voices. So thank you for keeping me company during my sleepless nights and making them sleepier! 😊🤗 Gracias desde España 🇪🇦🇻🇪

Haha well thank you so much and welcome to the channel! Chapter 2 and onward will be happening. I have 4 books I'm reading through chapter by chapter. Each Friday in a month is a new chapter from each of the 4 books. 1. Howl's moving Castle 2. Pale Blue Dot 3. The Hobbit (formerly the Silmarillion) 4. Contact So 3rd week in May expect chapter 2 to be uploaded. In the meantime there's plenty of other Tolkien content to sate your thirst. Hope you stick around! Thank you for listening 🙏
