This was absolutely stunning!! The views phenomenal and the fact that the driver slowed down so the passengers could enjoy them all the more was fabulous! The train was spotless and every carriage wonderful. I can't believe that you were able to get off at stops and get bits, that's unheard-of here (UK). Back in the 1980's, I moved to Germany with my then spouse. We were stationed in Berlin when it was still East and West Germany. In order to pick up our vehicle, we had to take an overnight sleeper train through the East German part of Germany, requiring travel through the Russian occupied part of Germany. Anyway, our overnight train trip was awesome. There is nothing like the gentle rocking of the train while trying to sleep. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
