The show has always done a great job of rewarding patience and strategy when it comes to hitting . However I’d love to see them really try to find a way make help players read pitches . Weather it’s a drill in practice mode or something

I don't really have a problem with chasing pitches. I always have more balls taken than chases. My problem is that I can't hit strikes. The players who throw strikes 70% of the time shut me down completely.

I don’t have a problem hitting as much as when I do it’s almost always a ground out or pop up. And like 6 second pop ups the game is stupid

Thank you for the vid. My issue is this. When the ball comes towards me I have pretty good pitch recognition....but I have challenges with swinging too early or too late. What am I looking for as the ball comes towards the plate? How do I improve my hitting the ball in perfect zone? Am I looking to see the ball get larger as it approaches or look for the seams?

Timing comes down to how good you and your opponents internet is to be honest. I’ll have games where I’m creaming the ball, and then games where I can hit a god damn thing. The other type of game you get is the one where they use Bob Gibson, the most broken pitcher. Everyone uses him. It’s nearly impossible to hit him. His pitches range from 103 to 75 and all his stuff breaks 8 feet.

Also you can change your controller mappings to trigger for the hit button

High chance you never read this but I just wanted to say you bringing up the claw grip is already enhancing my hitting. Not only is my pci placement getting better but it’s mentally making me be more cognizant when looking at pitches I would otherwise just chase. So thanks for this video, and know that your tips do help people get better and have more fun. GGs

TY for the video. I personally would like a step-by-step guide that starts at the beginning. Just hitting and no overexplaining. My brain short circuits thinking about PCI and everything in between when it would help me to just hit at first and then proceed from there.

This is my first mlb game and while practicing I could never hit and when you said the thing about not following through with the pci I realized I would always let go of the stick as soon as I hit X and didn't know you had to keep it moving or else it'll go back to the anchor. I've been hitting a lot more consistently since so thanks for that😂

How do you get the colour on the PCI stick and the bat only?

So one of my biggest questions about this game was, does the pci movement lock as soon as I click X on ps to swing? Because I thought that it did, I've been trying to get the pci to where I thought the pitch would land, then pressing X. By doing that, timing will obviously be sacrificed - so I need to change that. W video, learned something.

Yes, as soon as you swing the PCI stops moving, so try focusing a little bit more on moving that PCI, following the ball in and then swinging. Don't stare directly at the pci, keep your eye on the ball and make small movements with the PCI towards where the ball is going in the zone

Bro I was having trouble in genuinely all 3 departments of my hitting then I watched your video. I emplemented watching early the claw to start and started swinging along w/ decent pitching and 10-0 Mercy ruled my opponent in the 8th. I’d say your tips work man, THANK YOU!!

I’m here cause everytime I hit, it’s either a line drive or pop fly and I’m out. Seems like it’s always 3 up and 3 down when I’m at bat. I don’t know how to fix this

hey man, just wondering if you can help me with inside pitches… i’m in the 8-850 range i’m so close to getting to world series but i’m like not a very good hitter. my online average is about .280. i get absolutely decimated by inside pitches im very late every time no matter what

You can't actually use switch hitters (picking which side to hit from). Took me a bit to learn that after I could only find videos like. USING ONLY SWITCH HITTERS, DRAFTING ONLY SWITCH HITTERS. Then I noticed not 1 said anything about hitting from a certain side against a pitcher

All I know is, if you're a player like me. If you had an Aluminum bat/that wouldn't break ONCE A GAME FOR EVERY BATTER. You would be a HELLUVA LOT BETTER .

I have a tip I would recommend, so not play online if you are super tired… I’ve notice I suck when I’m tired, playing offline where you can choose an easier setting is ok but online on legend or even hall of fame gets tougher when your tired.

Ranked is rigged. I always make solid contact or good contact right in the middle of the PCI and they're just pop outs to the outfielders. I hit more home runs and get hits. Then I resorted to using contact swing and it just pops the ball all over the infield or outfield
