Mistakes were made. But playing solo is difficult because there aren't other players to help identify the mistakes. It does seem like the game flowed well and was certainly enjoyable to watch. Thank you.

And here are my thoughts for this marvelous video, some of which may be redundant when combined with other comments here: 0:13 You were previously at 7 Power, but when you gained 3 Power, you moved your token to 11 instead of 10. 4:45 You indicate that all of the Automa's workers are on the board. But as of the end of your previous video (at 23:38), the Automa had only 7 workers on the board (2 in his home base and 5 on territories). So the Automa should be able to move his last worker to his home base at this point. 5:32 Technically, you shouldn't resolve the Encounter until your Move action is completely over (see page 24 of the rules). I realize this and other notes I mention are incredibly minor but newbies watching this video should be aware of all the rules. 6:20 The worker you gain from the encounter should be placed on the territory occupied by your character. 6:28 And the 2 resources you gain from the encounter should also be placed on the territory occupied by your character. 8:59 The Nordic Mech should move to the Lake territory immediately northwest of its other mech adjacent to the Crimean units. 16:35 Missed the Lake rule again. The worker would move to the Lake territory immediately southeast of the factory. 17:10 You can only take a Factory Card if your Character is on the factory. It doesn't apply when you simply control the factory with a mech. And again, technically speaking, you wouldn't select a Factory Card until after your Move action is complete. 20:58 You neglected to reduce the Automa's Power after you attacked him last turn, so he shouldn't be able to earn this star. 22:55 You can't move your character where you did because you don't have the ability to cross rivers into villages. 25:38 You should earn 8 coins for your 8 resources. Terrific job!

Tom, thanks for sharing this great game that has a great solo mode. I agree with the previous post. The solo mode is difficult and not having someone else to help catch rules mistakes makes it a little worst. However, it is still a great game.

At 11:22 you missed a chance to get your bonus (two coins). Even though you had deployed all your mechs you can still take the bonuses. Great video!

Close game! Closer than I thought it was going to be, for sure.

One of the trickiest things about moving workers is ensuring they are not in the neighborhood of your units (I miss this a lot with the tunnels). At 14:40, you move the work to a tunnel spot, which is technically within one movement range of your 3 mechs that are also on a tunnel. You only get to grab a factory card if it is your character that ends it's turn there, not a mech or worker.

67 to 69. Wow close game. I just played the same on my version, and it was 50 to 56, with me losing. It was my first game, so I fudged up the building of structures, and did not build them on the target hexes. Fun game!

Imo, the automa system a lil bit scary. How they move, like suddenly show up at your doorstep. But it is a good ai system. Anyway, nice playthrough mate. Very enjoyable.

You forgot to pay for the Automas power about 20:00, and thereby give them a Star, that probably won them the game.

Played solo yesterday for the first time, did a bunch of mistakes, but anyway I enjoyed the game and this is why we are playing, not to only follow rules) will do the second session today without those mistakes, I think that this "teleporting" stuff is the most confusing part. But what I did like the most - is the speed of the game, this is the main stopper to play Scythe for me and the group, cos it plays like for 3-5 hours, but solo mod took me like 1 hour 20 mins and could be faster)

For your first battle, shouldn’t you have used the discarded card to get resources?

Fun to watch. I thought in combat you could only use one combat card?

late to the party on this. Curious how the automa would work if they had the Saxon faction. As the their ability is they can do unlimited amount of combat victories. Assuming they win a combat they get a star and they can do that multiple times unlike other factions. The Automa seems to play really aggressive. Nothing like some of the Multiplayer games I have played. Still though, Like the game and the fact there is an automa makes this game enticing as a solo player.

The worker goes where the encounter takes place. Also it's called iron not steel. You mine iron you make steel. 😁

Thanks this helped me a lot, played with friends but the Automa rules confused me. You made a lot of mistakes dho.... For instance when u attacked the enemy mech you didn't set back his power token.

The very first automa card you played on here you played incorrect. It's an attack move toward a worker not a combat unit.

Your solo game overview is excellent. You committed a serious mistake though: you should not have taken a Factory card bc you went there with a MECH instead of your ==character==.
