Well maybe…. But front doors are made of wood, hanging off wood that’s nailed to a stick frame home…. They seem pretty good all the way up till they don’t …. Everything that is, is hinged on something that may fail. The gate is good to go

The bracket seems too short and the receiver is on the wrong board. It would be too easy to circumvent the gate or fence by removing the vertical board of either.

That's not an auto lock. That's an auto link. You still need to manually attach a lock.

Good solid mechanism there. Unfortunately, no guide for the slot. Minute it gets out of square, it wont work.
