Could not sleep so I figured I would watch some of your older videos. So the look of your horse when you were talking. I am convinced that he thinks you're crazy Garrett. Also speaking of Griswold and Gunnison. I might if god willing need to get me one of those holsters.

Just wet the holster and wrap the biggest gun you're going to use in plastic and work it in and out of the holster and letting the leather dry to shape occasionally reinserting the pistol till completely dry.

A good single action revolver is never obsolete. I carry grip forward on the left while driving, so I can draw with the right hand as easily as reaching over.

If it's for a gun made in the 19th century he more than likely has it or can make it. I know he has molds for all the colts from the Patterson up to the 1911. He also has some pommel holsters that double as saddle bags.

A well trained horse no... Ole Dallas here on the other hand might be a different story.
@garrettfromsmokeinthewoods3 жыл бұрын
Most of our horses are fine with gunfire however the sound of a a holster slapping your leg can confuse your horses into thinking you want them to trot. That being said if I had to shoot off of this horse I would step off lol
@classicgunstoday19723 жыл бұрын
@@Real11BangBang it’s just the way you presented as carrying while on horseback of that horse I wondered if popping a shot at a snake wouldn’t scare him unless he was trained for it. I read in guns of the old west mag recently that more recent hollywood westerns stopped using blank firing guns on horseback and use CGI because it’s harder and takes too long to train horses to adjust to the blast. (CGI looks terrible IMO)

I used to be a cavalry reenactor back in the 90's. It does take quite a bit of training, but it mostly depends on the horse. Some, it goes easy, and some will make you question if it's worth it at all....lol
@garrettfromsmokeinthewoods3 жыл бұрын
@@keithhagler502 lol amen. I have a good horse I use for reenacting a cattle drive that gets stampeded by rustlers. He is a good old horse. Trouble is he just turned 25. Now I'm working on breaking in some new blood but.... I think the older I get the harder the ground gets lol. Here pretty soon we will break out the old man for a video on shooting from horseback.

@garrettfromsmokeinthewoods3 жыл бұрын
Duke sales holsters for $65-$75 depending on the holster with $20 shipping.some holsters he can add things like basket weave for an extra $30 or so. Thanks for watching.

I've got a question that doesn't go with the video, but I figure you could help me. I placed an order for a blunderbuss from military heritage, got an order confirmation but after a month now I still haven't been contacted further nor have the funds been removed from my account. Is this normal for them? Your experience would help me greatly.
