I’m gonna try that this year with my family! Any recommendations? Or things to watch out for? I like how the home base doesn’t collide with the kicker. That could be dangerous

what are the tarp things? i would like to do this for my bday party but i don’t know where or what the “base paths” are.
@ammannmj4 жыл бұрын
Its rolled plastic you can buy at a hardware store, buy at least a 6 mil thickness so it will take the friction from sliding. Then go to Sams club for the kiddie pools and dawn soap to put on the base paths. Hope this helped. ;) www.lowes.com/pd/BARRICADE-10-ft-x-25-ft-Clear-6-mil-Plastic-Sheeting/1000158131

As i remember the roll of plastic was a 100ft roll, so we cut them into 25ft pieces and tucked them under the pools

What did you use to fasten the tarps to the ground?
@ammannmj7 жыл бұрын
we tucked them under the little pools, but the 1st baseline they used small u bolts that could be hammered into the ground, but the top has to be smooth, so no one cuts their feet or legs

What type of soap did you use on the tarps and in the pool?
@ammannmj7 жыл бұрын
We used a cheap dish soap, but I would recommend using dawn or or some kind of baby shampoo so it doesn't burn your eyes. it doesn't take a lot once everything is wet
@atonifowlkes83903 жыл бұрын
where did u get the tarp from
@ammannmj3 жыл бұрын
Go to home depot or lowes in the paint section, and buy the heavy duty (I think 6 mil) plastic sheeting. We also went to Sam's club and bought a BIG bottle of dawn to help keep the basepaths slick enough to slide into each base/mini pool
@madijames7566 жыл бұрын

What did you use for the black tarp type thing?
@stormtide44057 жыл бұрын
Kellie White they used a drop cloth
@ammannmj7 жыл бұрын
They are rolls of plastic, if you can buy clear heavy plastic at big box stores it will function the same way, but buy extra in case it tears, we had to replace the first base line because it gets used the most.
@kelliewhite92266 жыл бұрын

You can’t get out from a foul ball.. if you get a foul ball on you’re 3rd strike it doesn’t count

That's baseball/softball....this is kickball. Two (okay, three) very different games.
@leximiles67296 жыл бұрын
MystiqueRisingSun Oh okay, in school we always played like baseball
@cadehill91746 жыл бұрын
Lexi Miles you are right baseball kickball and softball all have the same rules, kickball is the same with the fouls and if you get a third foul ball it’s isn’t a strike.
@MystiqueRisingSun6 жыл бұрын
Cade Hill Actually no, they don't have the same rules. Fast pitch softball is closer to baseball in rules, but still not the same.. Slow pitch softball is VERY different (no lead offs, no stealing bases, 10 players on the field instead of 9, etc.). Baseball is overhand pitching, no underhand allowed...softball is ONLY underhand pitching. Anyway, kickball has the "third foul and you're out" rule to make the game go faster when playing in most schools, church leagues, and - as in this case - a fun family outing. In baseball, and both versions of softball, the first two foul balls are counted as strikes. However, in PROFESSIONAL kickball? A foul ball is actually NEVER counted as a strike.
@cadehill91746 жыл бұрын
MystiqueRisingSun I wasn’t really talking about softball, I know that that is different because the fricking pitch underhand, I was only talking about kickball and that the right way to play it and the easier way to play it is like baseball because almost everyone knows the rules of baseball
