World Record Fastest 280m Slip 'n' Slide

11 жыл бұрынWeeks in the making, Ash, Kip & Luttsy and a bunch of Nova listeners finally had the chance to ride their 280m long backyard Slip 'n' Slide!
With a world record up for grabs for the fastest 100m slide, the competition was fierce.
Nate Ryan claimed the honors with a blistering 100m that would make Usain Bolt proud.
Stopping the clock at 9.33 seconds, Nate reached speeds of over 40km/h in the process.
A great way to end Summer!

You can purchase 5mm thick ground sheeting at Home Depot. It's usually used as a moisture barrier. Up here in Canada I paid $70 for 175 feet. Bought two lengths and tuck-taped (not duct tape) them together for a 350 foot slide. Ran 40 feet of hose to two splitters with sprayers, hooked it up and was ready to go.

hey whats up i tried to make the slip n slide but the tarp i used was like 20 bucks a for 20 ft which jis a lot. what did you guys use for this video and how much did ot cost for the whole way down ? and how did guys keep it down ? can u get everything from home depot ? thanks for reading guys, please send me some links im craving a huge ass slip n slide but my friends wont help me figure out how to do this so your my only hope thanks !

Really what they should have done is replaced those silly bales of hay with spikes to make sure that the riders stay in the middle of the slide, where they belong.

I have this,but I have the shorter 1 of course and it's soooo fun,it's on $40:00,I use it in summer and I'll give us good tip,when u use it,always put soap and water on ur body and the slide cuz it makes u go faster,I do that! And it's the funnest thing u an do in summer! :)

No, not even close. It's like 3% faster. Usain ran the 100m in 9.58 seconds, on level ground, from a standing start. These guys started the clock running at full speed and had gravity to help them. There's nothing here to brag about.
