She has awful footwork and stands upright after every shot, usually not recovering into a better court position. She doesn't split step because she just doesn't want to. In other words, although she is quite talented, her effort is often questionable.

Yeah obviously you have to change something after losing the first set. But she's young and probably needs more time to learn to hit harder and more consistently.@@johnboyzan3304

@@johnboyzan3304she hits winners when they give her angles but she was overpowered by Sloane. Her game will work against someone and not against everyone. She is quite thin and young and not as powerful (yet), so she’s not going to outhit someone like Sloane.

I think that Mirra's game is very similar to Coco's. Their backhands are extremely good, their forehands are terrible, they both move very well around the court. Coco does have much better serve and her groundstrokes are much more powerful than Mirra's. Of course, they are young and they will get better but I am so worried when I see forehands like these (just try to remember the forehand of my favourite player, Timea Bacsinszky - horrendous). All credits to Stephens, perfect match.

Well Coco is on her way to fixing her forehand. If Mirra's parents are wise, they'll do that earlier than Coco's dad did. I guess the money is priority at this level. Alcaraz chose to play the Challenger tour to improve his game.

Sloane's softly softly game can only work with Amateurs. It wouldn't work against heavy hitters like Aryna Sabalenka, Elena Rybakina or Coco Gauff.

А вот я совершенно не была уверена, что Мирра выиграет. То ли мало играет, то ли спад у нее какой-то. Скучно она играет и нет вариативности в игре. И мне даже показалось, что Слоан даже скучно было с ней играть. Для нее (для Слоан) эта игра была типа обыденной тренировки. Я очень разочарована. Да собственно наши теннисисты практически все отличаются этакой нестабильностью в игре.
