I love how simple this truck is. I was expecting some crazy engine with crazy suspension, but it seems like a fairly affordable and simple build.

Exactly my brother you get it brother, nowadays I see so much cash throw into trucks and most looks like “destroyed a classic truck “ but this thing looks brilliant and it does phenomenally what it’s supposed to ....”have lots of fun with it “

Big Muscle with MIke, and Roadkill with Frieburger and Finn are my my 2 favorite shows. Mike,I just went and rewatched your vid about your Charger (which is absolutly drop dead gorgeous), and let me say, from car guys (and gals) all over, thank you for getting out the finacial scene and bringing your down to earth presenting style and great show to us. You will always have followers and fans as long as you keep your recipe simple like it has been, nice, honest, down to earth, and the most important part, genuine. I hope Big muscle stays around for a long time. great show, Great presenter.

I can remember riding in the back of my dads old truck just like this, of course it was a little more beat up. Had a shop made front bumper with a winch. We would go on this road called Yellow Dog Road that would always flood a foot or two deep for about quarter mile when the Mississippi River backwaters came in western KY. This video brings back good memories.

I think it's awesome that American cars are getting out more in the world, and that foreign vehicle enthusiasts are starting to appreciate American made vehicles. Japan is known for their tuners and good street racers, Europe for their luxury cars that pack power plus finesse, and for their legendary exotics. America is rather divergent from the rest in the sense that American cars and trucks pack raw power in a big, heavy package which is more fun to throw around than to just be a fine-tuned precision instrument. American vehicles are different, but they're still beautiful in their own unique way.

***** Don't think of the US losing them, think of them spreading the US ingredient to other countries. There will always be Mazdas in Japan, VWs in Germany and Fords in the US - but as Mike said, if we want to bring this world together, we need to cross-fertilise and learn from one another. Cars as ambassadors ;)

You called it a 1972 f250, but badging and grill indicates it is a 1968 Ranger package F100.
@johnburger58849 жыл бұрын
Jesse Hires i thought the body style looked pre 72
@Cragified9 жыл бұрын
Jesse Hires Probably just going off what it was titled as. Also remember badging and such isn't a dead giveaway anyone could have always added that stuff.
@JesseHires9 жыл бұрын
Cragified You are correct about the badging. A few things about it... The grill is definitely a 1967 or 1968. Only years they turn signals were enclosed. The red badge on the grill is a "Ranger" badge which was the luxury edition of this pickup. By 1972 only the Sport Custom was available. The hood says F100 on it. The badges on the hood are easy, the grill is a bit more difficult, but can be done. It is a shortbed pickup. F250 was only a longbed configuration. The bolt pattern on the wheels is 5 bolt. F250 would have been 8 bolt. Now that I've said all that, the amount of modification that was done on that pretty much negates anything I've said. My guess is that it is a F250 cab/title/VIN whereas the frame, front clip, and bed were from a donor rig. The rest (suspension, drivetrain, etc) is all custom.
@Cragified9 жыл бұрын
Jesse Hires Have to remember titles in the U.S. which is were it was bought from go by the frame. Which was tubed front to back which means the whole body was off it at one point. It is most likely a 1972 frame with a 1967-68 body on it.
@Cragified9 жыл бұрын
***** For unibody construction today which is fairly standard the unibody shell is the frame which the VIN is attached to. Title follows the VIN. So if you get a new shell as the term is used and put all your current vehicles other parts into it the new shell has it's own separate title. Basically the title always follows the chassis which is what holds the vehicle together and to which all other parts are attached. So if you pick up a car at a salvage yard to use for the 'frame' you'd get what is called a salvage title. Regulations also follow the frame or shell. Which is why you can take a 32 roadster frame and put a modern engine and drive line into it and have no exhaust or seat belts because at the time of that frame's construction such laws were not in effect.
