Good point Model Race Car, there are always more than one way to skin a cat. When I invented the Device it was more in my mind that I have a few cars, some that are good and some that were not so good and I wanted a way to easily compare their balance. Rodalan.

Hi Stefan, I know where you are coming from, but it is not all about weight, it is about where you put the weight. What do you do, when the scales show it is say 45/ 55 balance ratio? Regards Rodalan

Each car is always unbalanced with more weight on the rear. I generally add weight as close to the front axle as possible trying to bring the weight to 40/60. I always weigh the machine on a scale first. With the two scales I add weight where I want trying to find a balance that brings me to 40/60. Bye!

@@stefanobism How big is the top plate on your scales, as I am wondering how you check the balance left to right. My scale plate is 55mm x 65mm. I originally invented the device for checking left to right balance as a member of our club had a car that was great on right hand bends but bad on left hand bends and he had no way measuring the right to left weight. After he checked his car on my device he found the car was heavy on one side and light on the other. He soon fixed the imbalance and transformed hic car. Its good to have discussions like this as there are many ways of skinning a cat. Rod

With the two scales I cannot check the balance from left to right. With the two scales I can only check the 40/60. The plate you built has a measurement of 119mm x 65mm. 1/32 cars can measure 140 mm. in length including the bodywork. Why did you make a shorter plate allowing the body to come out of the plate? Why didn't you build the plate longer? You had a great idea building it for your club member. Bye!
