The thing is that most of Ed Sheeran's fan base is young, maybe too young to really know or be fans of John. John is introducing himself to these younger people. (Or sadly only know about John via Taylor Swift stuff) But at the same time, playing acoustic to not overpower Ed's show. Smart with a side of humility. The people talking, too bad.

John is also doing a solo acoustic tour. So he likely opened for Ed in the same format. And it’s a last minute replacement. But it’s true. It can also be bc many of Ed’s fans aren’t as familiar with John. A few years ago, my nephew (18 at the time) received a really cool top. I commented that it was "very John Mayer". He told he…. "I don’t know who that is". After my heart started up again, I said "He’s my generation’s Ed Sheeran". Lol

Get into his concert is my big dream. It's really expensive. And these people got Ed and John. Oh my God. They didn't even know, they are already in heaven. The best guitarist ever? ❤

I would have been all over that performance! We saw Ed in Tampa and Khalid opened, but it was so badly attended. Need more support for openers!
