I live in a regular city. But during the pandemic I came to a beach house with trees and wild fauna and it was the best thing. Even though I am not leaving the house that much. I am following the rhythm of my nature. Doing things that I didn't even think about like sitting down and drinking a coffee just for the sake of the moment. It also connected me to my artistic being and I started taking photos, making short movies or videos for this platform.

I’m so glad that you have found your balance and rhythm in life, especially in such changeable times. It’s so interesting to hear how you discovered the more artistic side of you - I truly believe we can’t be fully creative until we allow our mind to slow down. Thanks for sharing your story 😊

I always like to live away from the hustle and bustle of city life. I love to spend my time around places that are filled with nature and are relatively calm. Furthermore, simplicity is ingrained in my personality since I am born. Simplicity and quietness are the two biggest values for me. I love to live in solitude. 😊

This video is perfect! I live in NYC and I found my self getting caught up in the Hustle and Bustle of city life. It has become stressful for me since I moved over here. I grew up in a quiet suburb outside the city. Moving to the city and living in an apartment took an adjustment. I am not use to the constant loud music from my neighbors living above me or the constant noise outside my window had gotten to me on several occasions so I know needing to slow down is very important. Thank you for making this beautiful video. 🙏💘

There are often sections or small corners of a city that are amazingly serene. Wandering and exploring often is the best way to find them.. Sometimes they are just a short stroll away from the traffic racket.

So much agree with you!! I myself live a slow quiet life in a city. Its not practical for me at this point of life to move to a mountain or a village. I figured ....a huge part of slow living is our heart. Its a mindset that needs to embrace this concept regardless of where we are. It was such a bliss to watch your peaceful slow living in London. With love, Lilac 💜🌸💜

I've been really struggling recently. I live in the second largest city in the UK - Birmingham. I live in the suburbs with my parents and work full time in a screen printing factory, which is located in an extremely busy and congested areas. I feel little to no connection with my environment or the people I'm constantly around. I also find little to no time to pursue the things that matter most to me such as art, music and travel..and my family have no real interest in who I am as a person or what really matters to me. I am trying to find the positives on a daily basis and this video has helped immensely. I find it very strange that people around me do not feel as suffocated as I do - and just treat this like it is the norm. I feel for not accepting things as they are that I am different to everyone else. I'm a very private person that likes my quiet time, very introverted and enjoy my own company ..which is extremely hard to do living where I live..unfortunately.

Some days I can cope with being in a city but often I struggle with all the people and the constant interactions that are part of walking with a very noisy dog! I’m lucky to live on the edge of a city so I can escape to the woods most days x

I’m happy to see this perspective demonstrated so well, and for the first time! I have always lived on a farm, but I enjoy occasional visits to the city. I believe there are ways for people with many responsibilities (like myself) to set aside time for slow living, and that it can be done anywhere. One way, as you said, is to focus on one task at a time. And, what you say about a tidy house is true. Your video illustrates beautifully how slow living is, to a large degree, a state of mind. Not everyone can quit their job and move to a remote place. I’d like to make one suggestion that helps me: As soon as I think of something concerning my responsibilities I immediately get it out of my head and onto the paper by making a note of it. This enables me to be quiet in prayer, having coffee, reading, studying Spanish, enjoying a walk or a bike ride - things that bring me health and peace. Good luck with your videos!

I completely agree, slow living really can be done anywhere, even if you have a lot of responsibilities. I find writing things down really helps to clarify my thoughts and I love your suggestion of putting pen to paper as soon as a thought involving responsibilities comes to mind, I’ll have to give that a try! Thank you for your kind comment and for sharing your story 😊

I wish this is coming from a person who doesn't start off with saying I have lived in cities my whole life. Well, of course you're going to be adapted to it since a young age which is entirely different than a person having that ability that comes from a slow pace. There is much truth in her wisdom.

Some beautiful shots of London in this. I used to work right around the corner from Old Street. There's a great little spot around the corner from there where William Blake is buried. I used to go there to get some headspace during the day.

Thank you very much for this video! I moved from a quit small village to a really big city for university 4 months ago and it was a real terror for me to be honest. I tried to look for places like forests, parks or even just trees, but there were almost none. And when there were, there was always crowds of people. The people in the city walk slowly but live way too fast, which i think is quite unnatural.

Hi! First of all, thank you so much for watching :)I completely understand where you're coming from. Moving from a small village to a bustling city can be a significant adjustment, and the fast-paced urban lifestyle can indeed feel overwhelming at times. It's great that you're seeking out nature and green spaces to find moments of tranquillity. Hang in there, and I hope you find your urban oasis soon!
