pearl drums You should also check out sverigesradio.se/radioswedenpalattsvenska and www.svtplay.se/genre/nyheter The first one is in "easy Swedish" and through the second link you can watch the news with Swedish subtitles. On SVT you can also find news shows solely made in easy Swedish, just look for "lätt svenska". But there aren't many to find online. You should also check the website 8sidor.se All these sources are really the best when you want to significantly improve your Swedish.

my favorite way of learning swedish is reading Kalle Anka. Funny stories, the pistures make it easy to understand and you learn many vocabs out of context

Hi, Yessa! How long have you already been studying in the past? I am just interested since I am also considering learning swedish. Btw. I picked up German after 6 years and am able after 12 months to understand about 80-90% of everything I read and listen - and had only basics of grammar and some 500 hundred words. I wish you luck.

Yay! Thank you. I love the concept. My husband is Swedish, and we travel to Sweden every year to visit his family. They are all great at English, but I love to improve my Swedish whenever I can. In two weeks we will travel to Sweden again. I'm practicing by having your videos in the bg as I work and doing the free language learning online tool from the library. The internet can sometimes be a beautiful place. Thank you!

You almost got the grammar correct! :) Cause at the start if you want to say "I'm learning Swedish" you would say 'Jag "lär" mig svenska"

This is awesome. I used the Swedish (not the English) subs and I couldn't understand almost anything haha (I'm a beginner) but I did understand some and that made me really happy. And made me feel like I can eventually learn Swedish. It is a much more beautiful language than I had ever imagined before I started learning it. A hidden gem of a language, one might say. I subscribed to your channel cause I find it awesome (and I am not particularly "subscriptionsfreudig" - sorry my Denglish kicking off- meaning I don't subscribe to channels just because, only if I reaaaaallly love them. So yeah. Thank you so much or rather takk mycket!!

this is a great idea- it's slow enough for me t read the subtitles, and listen to the Swedish words at the same time. I visited Sweden back in the 1980s and would love to go back. I love the sound of the Swedish language. Thank you!

Man måste bara vara medveten om att det inte är naturligt. Jag har försökt att göra det så naturligt som möjligt, men det finns en gräns.

Jag tittar på några svenska kanaler här på KZfaq och problemet är att de pratar för snabbt och inte så tydligt. När du pratar långsamt lär jag mig nya ord lättare och det är jätteviktigt för mig.

Right, but if you understand a lot, you should rather practise with that instead of these slow videos. They won't help you geting used to the real speaking speed.
