How to spoil a natural finish to a race, create a shortcut?

I agree - the last two outings the short cut prevented a sprint finish. At the very least the athlete with the shortcut should have the option of forgoing it for extra points. To be fair though the finish at Munich was always going to be a race to the final turn rather then a race to the line.

@@ig2d Yes, 2 straight extra points or something. Or at least you can't take the short cut on the last lap

@@ricardorix73 better still - dont give any points for winning the short cut - but award the 5 points for forgoing the shortcut

@@bernardosoares7742 I get and it is fantastic - I should have said that - it's great entertainment. A big thumbs up for the the whole concept. I think giving the option to cash the short cut in for points will make it more interesting though

That thumbnail is Munich not London because Van Riel was not in London
