I had good optimisation for my moveset, but my moveset (+ route) was inferior lol. This task was fun - looking forward to working on Task 2! Congrats to everyone who entered, and especially to THC98 for beating the entire SM64 community!

I actually laughed my ass off once I heard Blink playing. I don't know if it's ironic or not but why would you make an ironic joke in a SM64 tas task competition about an early 2000's band that no one cares about anymore. It's probably a take on modern KZfaq and the channels that are complete parodies of themselves at a certain point like everyone's favorite KZfaq hero Ray William Johnson. Our boy has made so much terrible content but once you go back and watch it it becomes funny for all the wrong reasons, him throwing a baby is funny from a "try hard edgy" stand point, but maybe he was trying to go for that, I do- wait... wait, are Ray's jokes still... genius. From an Ironic standpoint you're laughing at it the same way as an unironic standpoint. Ray threw that baby because it's "try hard edgy" we're laughing because it's "try hard edgy" and maybe that baby was there to redeem us in a great enlightenment that we must uncover. Everyone needs to figure out the pure genius through the artificial cringe that is Ray's jokes, if we find this we will find the answers to human history and the truth behind it. The space jews and Adams and Eves have a chance at death or a chance at life, and the only way to find it... is through stupid tangents about dead channels on a video that's completely unrelated.
