If you want it bad enough, I could create you, and you alone a custom rom with a slightly altered map, to which the goomba will spawn on a platform. But will that satisfy you? Do you want it bad enough to resort to this? I'll let you decide.

+Dirty Dan I think Mario is actually just a point in space for loading radii. At least, it would be way easier and more efficient than to check if two 3D objects overlap. So however big Mario appears to be, only one point will be checked and it cannot fit both radii.

+Qbe Root It's actually incredibly cheap to test if two spheres intersect or touch. If R1 is the spawnpoint's radius and R2 is mario's radius, the test to see if they intersect is: _distance from centers_

I don't think the spawning point is an obj but rather a point in space

The spawning point _is_ an object, but it doesn't actually load and unload unless you leave or exit the course, so you *can't clone it*. Even if you did clone it (which can be done using hacks) the spawning point would stop working. If you released it with the goombas unloaded, they would just never load. But if you released it while the goombas _were_ loaded, then the goombas would never unload unless they were killed. That might actually let you go down and kill the mystery goomba, but again you can't clone the spawning point.

TurbinationE We can't clone Mario yet, as he is always loaded, loading points or not. And even then, Mario would be replaced with an uncontrollable clone, since clones can't send or receive signals, and thus cannot move by themselves.

If it has no floor to spawn on, it simply won't spawn, so that doesn't help us reach it. As a side note, any space without a floor beneath it is considered by the game as out-of-bounds.

4 YEARS LATER UPDATE: The death barrier is a type of triangle so you could make it a normal triangle so you can walk on it. But the spheres still don't intersect.
