I made this from the new Ball Book if Canning and Preserving (pg 59). Its called Balsamic-Onion Jam in the book. Their recipe has a few different ingredients but its all calculated out. I'm telling you it's amazing! I love it on meatloaf and burgers. It's also perfect on pork chops!

Thank you Linda. I've made your larger batch before and love it. Just an additional comment: I have the Le Creuset pans as well and I've found that you can get the staining out by filling pot with hot water add some bleach and heat on stove on low until all the staining etc is removed. It works great!

This jam Is amazing!! I MADE IT FEOM THE Ball's canning recepie book, it has different steps or ingredients but like Linda after the 1st time I made it, I made it "My own" and substituted ingredients to fit my taste likes...I personally add jalapeños and sundried tomatoes (which I dehydrate myslef) and it is absolutely delicious....i use it on meatloaf, steak and basically anything I want...😋😋

I love this! I have made it twice now (from your earlier video) but I cut way back on the brown sugar. Nothing lost in the flavor and still sweet. My hubby is diabetic. But now I think I want to pull out a jar and make some burgers to put them on!

Have you tried the balsamic onion jam from the ball canning book? The bay leaf and white pepper add a nice touch. This jam is so good on hamburgers too. Linda you have taught me so much about canning and I thank you so much. Having delicious homemade soups to serve one has been so nice. Have a great 2018!

Hi, Linda. We just moved & I now have a gas range, & as you have one, I'd like to ask 2 questions regarding canning on them. Do you find they run hotter than electric or glass topped ranges, and, do you have to run your exhaust fan at a higher setting than "low"? Appreciate your expert advice. Thanks, Linda.

What do you eat sweet onion jam with? Also, you may want to go back and make sure you wrote Jan 2018 instead of 2017 - from the look I got it looked like 2017. I could have seen it incorrectly because I'm so used to seeing that date, though.

I'm not sure if this is something you wish to share bc I understand it is personal. if you wanted to share how you are handling an empty nest I think it could be very helpful for others who have gone through the same thing. I am not asking you to share anything about your marriage or any of the details of the divorce but just how things have changed now. a lot of woman go through this later in life wether that be divorce or death of a spouse, and I think you have such a calming loving way that maybe you could help them not feel like they are doing it alone with no one who understands. and I apologise if this request is disrespectful bc i would never want to come off that way to you. I love your videos and I am a long time fan of yours.
